With an uncommon break in the PGA schedule this weekend, golfers from around the world gear up for next week's Ryder Cup.

The 2008 Ryder Cup consists of an amalgamation of golfers from the PGA to form two separate Ryder Cup teams – Team USA and Team Europe.

The golfers, selected based on a point system established before the season, then have the opportunity to represent their region alongside their countrymen (or continentmen) when the tournament starts up Sept. 16.

Comprised of esteemed golfers including Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and Padraig Harrison and captained by record-setting Nick Faldo, Team Europe looks difficult to beat.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Team USA busily prepares win their first Ryder Cup in six years.

With 46-year-old captain Paul Azinger leading the way with Stewart Cink, Stuart Appelby and 2008 surprise phenomenon Kenny Perry chipping in.

The American team also consists of Jim Furyk, Anthony Kim, Justin Leonard and many more.
