Selection Sunday: Which Bubbles Will Burst?

| It’s inevitable that the NCAA Selection Committee will put some dubious teams into the men’s basketball Tournament this Sunday. (AP Images) |
But losing early during Championship Week doesn’t put anyone in a strong position to complain.
The Arizona Wildcats are in big danger of falling off the Tournament bubble after falling 68-56 to the Arizona State Sun Devils. ASU was favored by 4.5 points at home, so the loss is no surprise, but Arizona still needed a strong performance in the Pac-10 tournament. Same goes for Wooden Award finalist Stephen Curry and the Davidson Wildcats, who were upset 59-52 by the College of Charleston (+9.5) in the second round of the Southern tourney.
And what will the Committee do about the Mountain West? The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels have lost three times this year to the San Diego State Aztecs, including 71-57 on Thursday as 3.5-point home faves. It’s one or the other. Bet on NCAA basketball with Bodog before March Madness passes you by!
