Kyle Busch dominated from the 33rd lap onward on Sunday, giving his team a series-leading fifth win of the season at the Toyota/Save Mart 350.

It was his first road win in the Sprint Cup Series.

After qualifying in just 30th place, Busch in the number 18 car battled his way to the front of the pack early and held it for the remainder of the race.

Finishing in second place on the afternoon was David Gilliland while Jeff Gordon finished third.

The Sonoma, California race saw Kevin Harvick spin out and knock Jamie McMurray and Tony Stewart out of contention for the time being.

Stewart managed to put together a solid finish, sneaking into tenth place, while McMurray finished in 18th and Harvick, 30th.

The win only adds to Busch's lead in the Sprint Cup standings after what some consider a bit of a slump for the 23-year-old.
