Chicago, we have a problem.
Rashard Mendenhall, the 23rd overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, was robbed at gunpoint while walking along the city's lakefront according to reports from the Chicago Sun-Times.
Mendenhall was a standout performer for the University of Illinois a season ago and was snapped up by Pittsburgh in the first round of this year's draft. His robbery rekindles memories of two other Chicago-based star athletes who have been robbed within the last year – both Antoine Walker and Eddy Curry were robbed at gun point in their homes.
Mendenhall is originally from Skokie, Illinois.
