Tara LaRosa won by submission in the second round at Hook N Shoot. 

On Saturday, Nov. 24 in Evansville, Ind., an enthusiastic crowd showed up at the Evansville Coliseum to watch fan favorites Tara LaRosa (15-1-0) and Dan Hornbuckle (14-1-0) throw down inside the six-sided Hook N Shoot ring.

With 14 fights on the card, the event had the potential to extend into the small hours of the morning, but fortunately for fans, the matches flew by in a haze of knockouts and submission holds, with 9 fights ending in the first round.

In the main event of the night, Hornbuckle "handled" challenger Courtney Ray (6-2-0), winning by armbar at 1:25 into the first round to retain his Hook N Shoot championship belt. Although LaRosa's 135lb belt was not on the line in her 125lb match, the women's Bodog Fight champion dominated Cody Welchlin (2-2-0), taking the Minnesota fighter to the ground and catching her in an armlock mid-way through the second round.

In opening matches, American Top Team fighter Mike Brown (15-4-0) beat Jeet Kune Do fighter Eben Oroz (4-3-0) by submission, while Matt Troyer (2-1-0) defeated Chad "Savage" George (5-4-0)by unanimous decision. The star of the night, however, had to be Kaitlin Young (4-0-0) who won the Hook N Shoot 8-woman tournament with ease, knocking out all three of her opponents to earn a Bodog Fight contract.
