Who, or what, is Austin Peay?

Wikipedia tells us that he was the Govenor of Tennessee from 1923-1927. Interesting.

Anyways, there is your factiod for the day. Back to the basketball. Peay would've been unimpressed with the school that bears his name on Friday, as the Govenors were blown out by Texas, 74-54.

AJ Abrams led the Longhorns with 26 points in the all-too-easy win. He, along with teammates Connor Atchley (12 points) and Dexter Pittman (11) almost outscored Austin Peay on their own, which really tells you all you need to know about this game.

Peay didn't have much going for itself heading into the NCAA tournament. They don't have a starting player over 6′5 and have only been to the big dance six times in its history. Compare this with Texas, a perennial power featuring arguably the finest PG in the nation - DJ Augustin.

Although you wouldn't recognize Augustin's pedigree on Friday. He went 2-for-8 from the field for just six points. Although to his defense, he wasn't asked to do much as Texas had this game in the bag from the beginning.
