Prince Fielder seems destined to be a home run king. After all, he's been hitting in big league parks since before he was a teenager. When the Milwaukee Brewers' slugger was growing up, he would often take cuts during batting practice at old Tiger Stadium and in Toronto's SkyDome, the fields where his father's long-ball exploits were most famous.

As a 12-year-old, he launched a ball into the upper deck in Detroit, the first shot that indicated he had inherited his dad's hand-eye coordination and power. Fielder's precociousness put him in the spotlight alongside his father, "Big Daddy" Cecil Fielder.  Prince was the seventh player chosen in the 2002 amateur draft and is now solidifying himself as a major leaguer with All-Star potential.

His ascent, though, is about the only thing predictable about the 2007 Brewers. The National League Central leaders are on an 8-3 run, thanks in part to the four moonshots hit by their first baseman in that stretch, and will play their next 10 games at home, beginning Monday with a series against the world champion St. Louis Cardinals. While the New York Yankees have been the biggest bust this season, the Brewers have been the most rewarding play for baseball bettors. Milwaukee is the only division leader that's often an underdog and that status may not quickly change.
