Tiger Woods has torn apart Torrey Pines so many times, it was hard to fathom how he started today.

Woods, the world's top-ranked player, opened with a huge hook into the rough on the opening hole, leading to an eventual two-putt to start the day at 2-over.

That put him four shots off the early pace set by K.J. Choi and Steve Stricker, who each had two birdies over their first four holes.

Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott, the other two players making up the powerhouse opening group along with Woods, both nailed their drives straight and long, picking up pars to start their rounds.

If you're still thinking about getting in on the US Open action, the Bodog Sportsbook has you covered! Who do you like from the Stewart Cink (2/1), Sergio Garcia (3/2) and Vijay Singh (13/8) grouping? Get your PGA Odds now!
