Any sports handicapper would love to see these 10 gifts under the tree.

1. A subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket, and/or similar premium cable packages for other sports.
2. A copy of Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
3. A big flat-panel computer monitor. Or, for the budget-conscious, an ergonomic mouse.
4. A genuine Patrick Sharp Chicago Blackhawks sweater.
5. Dinner for two at a fine sushi restaurant. Fish is brain food.
6. A fancy-schmancy black leather wallet – ideally with some money in it.
7. A proper baseball glove, football, basketball or anything that will actually get used.
8. An mp3 player. Music is also brain food, whether it’s Mozart or The Mars Volta.
9. James Bond movies. Every handicapper wants to be James Bond (or Honey Rider).
10. Tickets to the Super Bowl!
