Tied at 2-2 with 84 minutes already gone, Liverpool's 2008 Champions League campaign looked to be coming to an end.

Then, Ryan Babel took over.

The Dutch international set up the game-winning penalty and scored the insurance marker in injury time as the Reds outpaced the Gunners 4-2 at Emirates Stadium Wednesday evening.

After goals from Sami Hyypia and Fernando Torres were cancelled out by Abou Diaby and Emmanuel Adebayor, Liverpool seemed as though they were on the brink of elimination. But almost immediately following the kickoff after Adebayor's tally, the Reds marched down the field and won a penalty when Babel was hauled down in the box by Kolo Toure. Steven Gerrard stepped up and hammered home the spotter to give 'Pool the 3-2 lead.

It was the Babel show minutes later with Arsenal pushing forward. A Liverpool clearance saw Bable one-on-one with Cesc Fabregas, but the flying Reds midfielder easily outpaced him and scored on what amounted to a breakaway from center half.

Liverpool came into this contest at +200, while the total was set at 2.5 goals (easily eclipsed due to the outburst in scoring). Liverpool will now face Chelsea in the Champions League semifinals.
