The whole event is something of a placeholder with the much-anticipated UFC 94 coming up just two weeks after, but Franklin-Henderson is a great betting opportunity for MMA handicappers that shouldn’t be missed.

At age 38, the respected Henderson is in decline with two losses in three matches since making the move from PRIDE. The losses were to Anderson Silva and Quinton Jackson; Franklin has also lost to Silva (twice), but is otherwise 11-0 in the Octagon and in stellar condition at age 34. Yet Franklin is a slight underdog at –105 to Henderson’s –115.

If you’re looking for a value pick at UFC 93, consider Mark Coleman at +300 against Mauricio Rua (-450), the same man whose elbow Coleman dislocated at a PRIDE event in 2006.
