In the co-main event Mark “The Hammer” Coleman came out of retirement to settle a score with one-time number one Pride Light Heavyweight contender Shogun Rua. The first meeting of the two ended with an injury to Rua. The fight was lackluster at best, with neither fighter looking very impressive. Both were completely tanked by the end of the second round, but Rua was able to muster a flurry of punches to knock Coleman out with only seconds left in the fight.

In the main event Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin finally stepped up against each other. The fight was a good battle between two talented fighters where Franklin seemed to get the best of it when they were standing. But Henderson was able to wrestle Franklin down in two rounds to squeak out a split decision.
