UFC Lightweight Champion B.J. Penn stepped up to challenge UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre for the Welterweight belt and got more than he could handle. St. Pierre dominated the fight from the onset. By the fourth round Penn was so beaten down that his corner wisely threw in the towel to stop the carnage.

Undefeated Light Heavyweight contenders Lyoto Machida and Thiago Silva faced off for what many thought would be a hard-fought battle. Instead, Machida displayed why his karate striking skills have allowed him to beat every man he’s faced. Before the first round was over Machida swept Silva’s feet out from under him and followed it up with a devastating punch to Silva’s jaw, knocking him cold, and elevating himself into the top contender spot in the Light Heavyweight division.
