UNC Tar Heels' Ty Lawson Arrested

Booze and local police authorities don't mix. Joakim Noah found out the hard way a few weeks ago, and now star University of North Carolina PG Ty Lawson is learning it as well.

Chapel Hill Police stopped the vehicle Lawson was driving on North Columbia Street at 2:33 a.m. Friday monring, according to the police report. Police then determined Lawson had been drinking. He was not charged with DWI but was charged with violating a city noise ordinance due to the loud music coming from his automobile. He was also driving with a suspended and/or revoked license.

UNC has not made any official announcement about Lawson as of yet.
