More fights are now in the books for UFC Fight Night 13 in Broomfield, Colo.

Tim Boetsch landed some hard knees to the face of wrestler Matt "The Hammer" Hamill in the first round of their 205-pound fight, but lost in the second round when Hamill took him down and pounded out a TKO win.

UFC contract winner Nate Diaz took a wicked beating in the first round from Kurt Pellegrino, but recovered in the second round to win by triangle choke.

Fans were expecting a war between light heavyweight fighters James "Sandman" Irvin and Houston Alexander but instead got a quick KO when Irvin dropped Alexander in just 8-seconds, tying an octagon record for fastest knockout. After the fight, Alexander protested the stoppage, saying he had not been KO'd.

In other action, Iowa fighter Josh Neer beat American Top Team's Din Thomas by unanimous decision.
