With only eight teams remaining in the playoffs, picking an eventual Stanley Cup winner should be getting easier, right? (AP Images)

But betting on who will hoist the Cup in June is still a difficult task thanks to some outstanding play so far.

The defending-champion Detroit Red Wings are still the favorites at +120 but the Boston Bruins are right behind them, listed at +250. If things go according to plan, this will be the matchup in the finals.

The winner of the Pittsburgh-Washington series should give the Bruins a run for their money. The Capitals are listed at +500 and the Penguins are at +700.

Chicago showed on Saturday night they can't be forgotten by beating Vancouver. The Blackhawks check in at +600 to win the Cup, just ahead of the Canucks (+700).

The two longshots still remaining are the Anaheim Ducks (+1500) and the Carolina Hurricanes (+2500). Be sure to get your NHL playoff odds in the Bodog Sportsbook.
