It's appears to be down to two last contenders for the Republican party nomination. Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani has given up on his quest for the White House after finishing third in the Florida primary behind John McCain and Mitt Romney.
Giuliani has thrown his support behind McCain, who is now the 1/5 favorite to get the GOP nod.
So why did he fail? Here's what Giuliani had to say:
"Obviously the strategy of 'focus on Florida,' 'don't contest in a heavy way the early primaries with the emphasis on Florida,' – obviously the strategy didn't work," Giuliani admitted. "It was in fact, even having said that, the only strategy available to us."
"Could we have done it in a better way? We'll think about that. I don't know the answer to that right now."
