The promise New York showed during a four-game win streak was absent last Sunday when the club fell 34-17 at home against Denver. Brett Favre was 23-for-43 for 247 yards, but threw an interception and no touchdowns.

The 4-point favored Jets hope to respond against a San Francisco team that's determined to finish strong in a spoiler's role. The 49ers won for the second time in three games last Sunday, all but eliminating Buffalo from the playoff race with a 10-3 road victory.

San Francisco was outgained 350-195 last weekend and need to get better in order to stop the Jets, who are third in the league with 27 red-zone touchdowns.
