At the time of writing this post, Lane Kiffin is still the head coach of the Oakland Raiders (1-2, 2-1 ATS). It would make sense that if he was going to get fired this week it would have happened by now, but it is hard to predict how the mind of Al Davis works.
Presuming Kiffin makes it until Sunday he will surely be staring another loss in the face, as the Chargers (1-2, 1-1-1 ATS) come to town after finally getting their first win of the season on Monday night.
Even though the Bolts have allowed an AFC-high 94 points in their first three games, they still are one of the faves in the conference and should be able to handle the dysfunctional Raiders.
JaMarcus Russell has not looked comfortable yet as Oakland's starting QB and has only completed 51.6 percent of his passes for just 391 yards in three games.
Will the Raiders be able to ignore the drama surrounding Kiffin and even come close to snapping a nine-game losing streak to their division rivals? The chalky Chargers look like a strong bet to exceed the current eight-point spread.
