Guard Ty Rogers is just a roll player in Western Kentucky's offense. That's probably why no one was guarding him with 5.7 second remaining.

Rogers took a pass from Tyrone Brazelton, who lead all scorers with 31 points, and put a three-point dagger into the hearts of Drake, giving Western Kentucky their first NCAA tournament victory. The final score was 101-99.

The Hilltoppers led by as many as 16 points but Drake came storming back in the last 10 minutes of regulation, forcing the game into overtime. It looked like Drake had the win with a one-point lead and just seconds left, but Brazelton was able to race up the court and feed Rogers before time expired.

Jonathan Cox had a great game despite the loss, he led all Drake scorers with 29.
