More bad news for the Yankees.

Struggling to keep pace with the Red Sox and Rays in the AL East, the Bronx Bombers got some more bad news on Wednesday as pitcher Joba Chamberlain went to the 15-day disabled list.

Chamberlain was scheduled to be examined by noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday after undergoing an MRI on his ailing right shoulder. The Yankees did not announce results of the visit, the New York Daily News reported.

Chamberlain was 4-3 with a 2.63 ERA so far this season, his first as a starting pitcher in the Yankees rotation. His 104 strikeouts are second most on the team, only behind Andy Pettitte (116).

How will the Yankees react to no Joba? New York currently sits at 11/1 in the Bodog Sportsbook to win the 2008 World Series championship. Check out all the MLB baseball betting available for your wagering pleasure today!
