Kevin Youkilis was born in Cincinnati, so it's no surprise that when the 29-year-old "Greek God Of Walks" made his first professional appearance back home, people took notice.

Around 140 friends and family members made it out to the Great American Ball Park to see Youkilis in action, all of whom had their loyalty to their hometown Reds questioned when KY went yard at the top of the tenth inning.

The solo shot broke a 9-9 tie and put the Boston Red Sox in the driver's seat for the remainder of the extra inning.

Just one batter after giving up the game-deciding run to Youkilis, Reds' reliever Mike Lincoln gave up another solo jack, this time to Coco Crisp.

The consecutive dingers put a damper on an impressive game-tying two-run shot from Reds third-basemen Juan Encarnacion.

Off a Jonathan Papelbon offering in the bottom of the ninth, Encarnacion punished the young closer with a swing that eliminated the two-run gap, giving non-Youkilis affiliated Reds fans something to cheer about.

Youkilis finished the game 3-5 at the plate, with two RBIs as the Red Sox won by a final score of 6-4.

Else where in interleague play Miguel Cabrera and the Detroit Tigers smoked the Los Angeles Dodgers 12-7 thanks to a pair of two-run jacks from Cabrera and Marcus Thames.
