Cunningham spent the last couple days steadily building his stack. To those tracking his progress he seemed like a poker chip locomotive picking up steam. Even though there are still over 100 player left in the field many here felt Cunningham was almost guaranteed a spot among the last 18. That's when things went horribly wrong.

After losing most of his stack (and his momentum) Cunningham found himself pushing all-in preflop with Q-J suited and getting called down by pocket aces. With no help from the board he was eliminated in 117th place cashing for $41,816.

Oh snap! This just in… 2006 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen was just eliminated in 112th place and also cashing for $41,816.

Players that your average casual poker on TV viewer will have heard of who are still in the WSOP field include: Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow and… uh… did we say Phil Hellmuth?

Well, to be fair there's also Brandon Cantu with 2,850,000, David Benefield with 1,900,000, and Mark Vos with 1,760,000. They've been know to play a little poker too.
