In the article, McCain writes, "I straight up don’t understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time. But no matter how much you or I disagree with her, the cult that follows Coulter cannot be denied. She is a New York Times best-selling author and one of the most notable female members of the Republican Party."

The daughter of the most recent Republican presidential candidate says she considers herself a "progressive" Republican and also cracks the joke that the Republican party is "about as edgy as Donny Osmond." Coulter, she argues, represents extreme conservatism, a way of thinking that is slowly dying off.

McCain writes, "Here is what I don’t get about Coulter: Is she for real or not? Are some of her statements just gimmicks to gain publicity for her books or does she actually believe the things she says? Does she really believe all Jewish people should be “perfected” and become Christians? And what was she thinking when she said Hillary Clinton was more conservative than my father during the last election?"

McCain says that she contacted Coulter for a rebuttal, but Coulter never responded.

"This is a specific plan designed by the Left to attack the nuclear family," Coulter said about single motherhood in today's society.

Barbara Walters read an excerpt of Coulter's new book Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America, where Coulter calls the late John F. Kennedy "A venereal disease ridden profligate and drug addict."

Coulter sparred with all of the women at the table – especially Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepard, who accused Coulter of speaking disrespectfully to Walters. During the fighting Coulter snapped, "Can we get back to what you were attacking me for when I wasn't here?"

Joy Behar responded, "See now you're a victim! She's being attacked!"

The segment ended awkwardly with no one really getting a word in – except Whoopi who yelled at Coulter that she could dish it out but she couldn't take it. Meow!

Lauer grilled Coulter first about how she spread rumors instigated on The Drudge Report that she was banned for life on the show – and went on to ask Coulter why she repeatedly referred to the President-elect as "B. Hussein Obama."

Coulter argued that The Drudge Report has never had to retract a story (ha ha) and that she was only asked back after NBC received bad press over the incident. However, Lauer argued that Coulter's segment was dropped from the schedule because of breaking news in the Gaza Strip and that Today had booked former British prime minister Tony Blair in her place – more pressing news than Coulter's hawking her book.

“I am like Roland Burris. I have been turned away, but I’m back,” Coulter said.

Coulter also tried to lamely argue that she referred to Obama as "B. Hussein Obama" because that is his middle name. After Lauer argued that she didn't refer to Geroge W. Bush in her book as "G. Walker Bush," she did admit that she enjoyed the irony of "Hussein."

Other sources of contention between the pair were Coulter's claim of single motherhood as the source of “almost any” societal problem.

Coulter writes, "Her obvious imitation of Jackie O's style – the flipped-under hair, the sleeveless A-line dresses, the short strands of fake pearls – would have been laughable if done by anyone other than a media-designated saint."

Coulter also repeatedly refers to the President-elect as "B. Hussein Obama" and claims that the media "literally wanted to have sex with him."

News on the topic is scare at the moment, but Page Six writes, "WE HEAR – THAT although we didn't think it would be possible to silence Ann Coulter, the leggy reaction- ary broke her jaw and the mouth that roared has been wired shut."
