For this week's installments of the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series, Bodog is offering online poker players the opportunity to bust out two poker blogger legends, $mokkee and Iggy, and earn a little somethin', somethin' for doing so.

The first bounty will be offered tomorrow night – Tuesday, December 9th – and will be awarded to the person who knocks out Iggy, who is also known as "The Blogfather of Poker" and is the author of Guinness and Poker. Then, on Thursday December 11th, there will be a bounty on the head of $mokkee, the Bodog Blogger Tournament Series host and the only poker blogger so far to have successfully collected their own bounty.

Winners of these bounties will receive T$109 to play in Bodog Poker's Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed online poker tournament, which offers tremendous value and massive overlays for online poker players. What makes this event an even better value? Getting in for free. So, if you’re an online poker player and you have a legitimate poker blog, you don't want to miss playing these tournaments.

The Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series started back on October 28 and is comprised of 15 Qualifying Tournaments that run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. With five tournaments remaining, including the Last Chance Tournament for players who are joining the race late, there is still plenty of opportunity to rack up points on the Leader Board and qualify for the Tournament of Champions on December 18th, 2008. The winner of the TOC receives T$2,000 plus a $100 casino credit then second place gets T$500, third T$250, fourth T$100 and, finally, fifth place receives T$50.

Check out the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament website for more details and to sign up.

Bodog Poker's popular Poker Blogger Tournament Series is getting closer to wrapping up its series of 15 events and that means its time to start placing some wagers on the outcome of the Leaderboard race and the Final Tournament of Champions (TOC). Over in Bodog's online sportsbook there are a collection of odds now posted on the poker prop bets page that give action junkies a chance to make a little extra coin this holiday season thanks to their favorite poker blogger.

Props available range from which poker blogger will finish atop the Leaderboard down to whether or not the the player with the chip lead going into heads up play in the TOC will actually take down the event and what suit the final card of the event will be. Head over to the poker blogger props page for the most recent odds on each.

The Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series started back on October 28 and is comprised of 15 Qualifying Tournaments that run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Among those who have made appearances with bounties on their heads to liven up the action are Bodog poker pro Evelyn Ng, Eric "rizen" Lynch and popular blogger $mokkee, and there will be more bounties in the coming weeks. So, with five tournaments remaining, including the Last Chance Tournament for players who are joining the race late, there is still plenty of opportunity to rack up points and take home some of that prize money as well.

At the completion of the 15 qualifying tournaments, the total points of each player will determine who will move on to the TOC. Players within the top 15% of all participants on the Leaderboard will then receive an invitation via email to participate in the TOC on December 18th, 2008. The winner of the TOC receives T$2,000 plus a $100 casino credit then second place gets T$500, third T$250, fourth T$100 and, finally, fifth place receives T$50.

Congratulations to GoldenHammer, the winner of the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament of Champions! This tournament represented the culmination of the very successful Bodog Blogger Tournament Series and saw the top 18 off the series’ leaderboard face off for their shot at first place and a 2008 WSOP Main Event seat.

GoldenHammer played most of the tournaments in the series and entered the championship in 8th place on the leader board. He saw some strong resistance in the heads-up finale against ScottMC who in the final hand had the lead but lost when GoldenHammer made his runner-runner flush draw on the river while holding A-6 off-suit.

GoldenHammer will be flying in from his home in Japan and donning the black and red in Vegas as his first place finish has earned him a spot on Team Bodog to play in the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Final Bodog Poker Tournament of Champions winners and payouts are as follows: GoldenHammer ($12,000 WSOP prize package, ScottMC (T$540 – enough for two WSOP Main Event semifinal buy-ins), Emptyman ($T379 – enough for a WSOP semifinal and a $100,000 Guaranteed buy-in), MiamiDon ($T270 enough for one WSOP semifinal buy-in) and Cbags ($T109 enough to buy-in to the $100,000 Guaranteed).

You can join GoldenHammer and the rest of Team Bodog on July 3 in Vegas and compete for millions by getting in on one of Bodog’s many WSOP online satellites.

As was promised, poker bloggers who came out for the weekly Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series got the chance to play up against a surprise Bodog Poker pro. However, what was more of a surprise for the bloggers was not which Bodog pros showed up but how many of them did.

When the players sat down at the virtual poker tables on Tuesday had two Bodog pros in their midst, David Williams and Jean-Robert Bellande. To add even more value to the tournament, the pros each had a $100 bounty on their heads. Since neither of them won the tournament here is how they lost their respective $100 (details courtesy of bodogbloggertournament.com):

Blogger "MondoGarage" claimed the $100 bounty on the head of Bellande when the blogger raised Bellande 3.5 times the big blind with JJ from middle position. Play folded around to Bellande, who had limped from UTG with 7-8s, and he cold called.

The flop came 10-2-7 and Bellande bet out the pot. "MondoGarage" put Bellande all-in and the Bodog pro called. Bellande did not improve and was soon heading down to the Bellagio's Fontana Lounge to mix it up with the "local talent."

Blogger "vin_nay" claimed William's $100 bounty when the WSOP bracelet winner bet out 3.5 times the big blind from middle position and "vin_nay" pushed all-in over the top from the big blind with K-6o. Williams then called with A-4o, but couldn't dodge a King on the river, sending him home.

There are now six tournaments left in the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series with plenty of opportunity to accumulate points and reach the top of the Series leaderboard. The tournaments run every Tuesday at 9:05 p.m. EST and the top 30 percent of finishers in each qualifying tournament earn points based on their finish. These points are then used to rank players over the four months of qualifying. At the end of the qualifying series, the top 18 players on the Tournament Leader Board will play in the Final Tournament on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 with the first-place finisher winning a $12,000 WSOP prize package.

For online poker players who want to be part of Team Bodog at the 2008 WSOP but don't have a blog, Bodog is currently running a number of online qualifiers for poker's biggest event this summer. A guaranteed four WSOP seats are up for grabs every week at the Bodog Poker tables for the rest of April, with that number jumping to five per week in May and June.

Each Main Event prize package includes the $10,000 buy-in to the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event, $2,000 for travel expenses, loads of Team Bodog gear and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Las Vegas in total Bodog style, including meeting the Bodog Girls and much, much more.

Don't forget that tonight at 9:05 p.m. EST poker bloggers will have the chance to face a surprise Team Bodog poker pro as part of the weekly Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series and earn points for a shot at a $12,000 2008 WSOP prize package.

A few weeks ago, two-time WSOP bracelet winner Josh Arieh played in the tournament, but this time around players won't know which pro may be seated directly to their left. It could be Arieh again, David Williams, Evelyn Ng or Team Bodog newcomer Jean-Robert Bellande.

There will once again be a bounty on the Bodog pro's head, giving players a chance to walk away with a little extra something on top of the normal cash payouts, just as "Abby17" did when she knocked out Arieh in that previous tournament. However, if the Team Bodog pro wins the tournament, they will walk with the $100.

There is still plenty of time to accumulate enough points to climb the leader board and be one of the 18 poker bloggers who qualify for the final tournament on Tuesday, June 10, where the winner will walk away with a $12,000 WSOP prize package. For example, the blogger currently in 18th place on the leader board has 194.1 points, and just a couple of top five finishes by a single player would award them enough points to be above that mark and solidly in the top 18 on the leader board.

There are seven tournaments left in the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series and they run every Tuesday at 9:05 p.m. EST. The top 30 percent of finishers in each qualifying tournament earn points based on their finish, and these points are used to rank players over the four months of qualifying.
The next round of Bodog's Tournament Leader Board heads-up matches took place in the Bodog Poker room with Bodog pro Evelyn Ng taking on two online poker players who were the winner's of their respective weeks.

First up it was the winner for the week of March 31 to April 6, "vinnyb9." On the line was a $3,000 cash prize that has rolled over from other player's failed attempt to take out a Bodog pro. On this occasion, though, "vinnyb9″ was successful and walked away with some well-deserved extra cash.

Next up was Bodog regular Johnathan "UFPokerStar" Westra. He was in the unfortunate position of meeting Ng after her loss to "vinnb9″ and she extracted her vengeance, sending him home with nothing to show for winning the week of April 7 to 13. We did just find out that he qualified for the $12,000 2008 WSOP Main Event prize package, so he has that going for him.

Get in on some online poker tournament action and work your way up the Bodog weekly tournament leader board and get a free crack at one of Bodog's poker pros and some serious dough. And if you want to be a part of Team Bodog at the 2008 WSOP, then head over to Bodog and check out the 2008 WSOP online poker qualifiers.

There is still plenty of time to qualify for the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series' Final Tournament with the chance to win a $12,000 WSOP Main Event Prize Package. (Bodog Beat Image)

With seven tournaments still remaining in the Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series, there is plenty of time for poker bloggers to earn their way towards a shot at the $12,000 WSOP Main Event prize package. And to keep things interesting along the way, there will be another Team Bodog pro seated at the virtual tables when the action gets underway next Tuesday, April 22, at 9:05 pm ET.

Unlike the previous blogger tournament, however, in which everyone knew in advance that two-time WSOP bracelet winner Josh Arieh would be playing, this time players won't know which pro may be seated directly to their left. It could be Arieh again or tournament ace David Williams. Or perhaps poker pro Evelyn Ng or Team Bodog newcomer Jean-Robert Bellande.

There will once again be a bounty on the Bodog pro's head, giving players a chance to walk away with a little extra something, just as poker blogger "Abby17" did when she knocked out Arieh a few weeks ago. However, if the Team Bodog pro wins the tournament, they will walk with the $100.

For bloggers who have yet to play in the series, there is still plenty of time to accumulate enough points to climb the leader board and be one of the 18 who qualify for the final tournament on Tuesday, June 10, where the winner will walk away with a $12,000 WSOP prize package. For example, the blogger currently in 18th place on the leader board has 194.1 points, but that coveted spot is still well within reach. Depending on the number of entrants in each tournament, which has been as high as 56 players, just a couple of top five finishes by a single player would award them enough points to be solidly in the top 18 on the leader board.

The Bodog Poker Blogger Tournament Series is composed of 18 qualifying tournaments that run every Tuesday at 9:05 pm ET. The top 30% of finishers in each qualifying tournament earn points based on their finish, and these points are used to rank players over the four months of qualifying. At the end of the qualifying series, the top 18 players on the Tournament Leader Board will play in the Final Tournament on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 with the first-place finisher winning a $12,000 WSOP prize package.
