Single dad Jason Mesnick had it rough on the show's last season of The Bachelorette. He dropped to his knees in excitement thinking he'd won the show's prize, the frustratingly self-absorbed but hot to look at, DeAnna Pappas. It was one of the saddest rejections fans of the show had ever witnessed – the single father who had been left by his first wife for another man, who finally realized he could love again, was brutally blindsided on national television.

Realizing that he was about to propose, DeAnna blurted, "No I can't" and grabbed his arm to pull him up.

Jason's jaw tightened as she told him she would be the luckiest person in the world to be with him, but that she was in love with someone else. In the limo, a shell-shocked Jason clutched the unopened engagement ring box and remarked, "The only sure thing I have is my little boy."

Thus, the Internets went wild with chicks dying to meet Jason and ABC realized immediately who their next Bachelor must be.

Last night's premiere was shocking – yes shocking – as female contenders desperately showcased their gimmicks in order to score a rose from Mesnick. Some danced; some made hot dogs; some recited bad poetry; one girl actually admitted to quitting her teaching job to go on the show, while another recited all the information from Mesnick's MySpace page. Some things are better left unsaid.

The kicker was the montage at the end – which previewed the upcoming drama on the season. We saw girls slapping each other, chicks in swimming pools, the return of DeAnna The Terrible and Jason having a nervous breakdown on a balcony. Oh man, bring it on, ABC. Bring it.

Another failed ABC Bachelor relationship has been added to the roster. Last season, Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas chose long-haired professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak, 26, over account executive and single father Jason Mesnik, 31, on The Bachelorette season finale.

However, like almost every other doomed Bachelor/Bachelorette couple from the ABC series – longevity was just not in the cards.

On Tuesday, Pappas blogged: "Many of you may know me from seeing me on television looking for love. The first show, everyone saw me get publicly rejected by a man that I was in love with. The second show, many of you watched as I got down to one man – he got down on one knee and proposed to me. Although at the time, I believed that would be my happily ever after, unfortunately we have since gone our separate ways but still remain very good friends.

"He is a wonderful man and will make some woman very happy one day. As for me, I still VERY much want to be in love, GET MARRIED, and start a family of my own. I still have faith. I am being led to the person I am meant to be with!"

Ironically, Pappas is the new host of Lifetime's new show, Get Married.

For his part, Csincsak told Extra, "I've been taking things one day at a time. [But] all the fans have been super supportive. I've gotten thousands of emails. Everybody basically has my back."

The finale of the Bachelorette was an emotional one. This finale, however, was not met without some serious heartache. And by heartache, let's just say it was one of the saddest rejections ever due to the sheer niceness of Jason Mesnick (along with the fact that he was totally blindsided). After weeks and weeks of intense true love, Jason (whose ex-wife previously left him for another man) was so sure he'd won DeAnna Pappas' heart, he actually got down on his knee to propose while us viewers at home grimaced… chuckled… then grimaced some more.

Realizing that he'd suddenly dropped to his knees and was about to pop the question, DeAnna quickly blurted, "No, I can't," and grabbed his arm to pull him up. Jason's jaw tightened and he braced himself for the inevitable rejection speech.

DeAnna told Jason that she would be the luckiest person in the world to be with him, but that she was in love with someone else. In the limo, a shell-shocked Jason clutched the unopened engagement ring box and remarked, "The only sure thing I have is my little boy."

Yes folks, it's finally over. Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas has finally made up her mind, choosing long-haired professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak, 26, over account executive and single father Jason Mesnik, 31, on The Bachelorette season finale.

Yes, the show we have been enduring every Monday for two whole hours a pop finally ended when Pappas accepted a proposal from the gnarly dude.

"I'm about to go meet my future in-laws," Jesse said. "And as rad as that is, my heart is pounding through my chest.

"Jesse is not a guy DeAnna has normally dated," DeAnna's father told cameras after he first met Jesse.

Both Jason and Jesse met DeAnna's family and while Jason blew them away with chivalry, Jesse's sweaty palms and deer-in-headlights demeanor didn't earn him points with them. When DeAnna's family voiced their favoring of Jason over Jesse, DeAnna was visibly upset. However, another family meeting was arranged with both contenders at once, and Jesse was finally able to win over DeAnna's father by asking for his blessing to propose.

in a twist, jilted Bachelor Jeremy came back to talk to DeAnna. Jeremy, a classic over-achiever who didn't like to lose, told her she was making a mistake. She cried, then rejected him all over again (ouch-a-rama). After he left her hotel room, Jeremy dropped to his knees and started crying while us good folks at home laughed.

Later, when DeAnna rejected Jason, she said: "I would be the luckiest person in the world to be with you. I just can't because my heart is somewhere else."

In the limo of shame, a shell-shocked Jason said, "I'm completely shocked. I feel like I'm a good enough guy who cares about people. I was so ready to be in love again. I was SO ready."

So what did you think about Jesse taking home the DeAnna Pappas prize? DeAnna thinks she's pretty nifty. For all our scathing Bachelorette articles, check out Bodog Nation's Prop Culture.

It's the battle between the mellow snowboarder, Jesse Csincsak and the single dad, Jason Mesnick. Who will take home the final rose on tonight's season finale of The Bachelorette?

One thing we do know: DeAnna Pappas will not be pulling a Brad Womack by ditching both contestants. Pappas revealed at last week's Tell All that she is indeed engaged to one of the final two contenders.

And host Chris Harrison backed up her claim, telling People magazine, "I have never seen DeAnna this happy. She is head over heels in love. It’s one of the best proposals the show has ever had. I won’t be surprised at all if there is a wedding within the year."

Harrison has reason to gush. Fans of ABC's long-running competition for love were enraged when the show's bachelor, Brad Womack dumped both final two contenders in the series season finale. What began as a cattle call for 25 women looking for true love and 15 minutes of fame finally dwindled down to absolutely nothing… except good TV for us cynical types.

Now Pappas is getting back the proposal she lost — as she snags one of the final two bachelors on tonight's episode. Will she pick the single father, Jason? Or the charismatic Colorado snowboarder? Do you want to read what Bodog Nation's resident cynic has to say? Read all the Bachelorette articles in Bodog Nation's Prop Culture now. Tune into the finale on ABC tonight and stay tuned to Bodog Beat for all the dramatic coverage!

This week on the Bachelorette, what we have all been dreaming about has happened: a shift in power. For once on this show, a rejectee successfully gained the emotional advantage over the rejecter. Graham Bunn perfected the art of the mind fuck by flip-flopping between affection and aloofness in a way that had DeAnna's pretty little Southern head spinning. It was a fun game to watch.

The ultimate twist was at the end, when DeAnna could no longer take the roller coaster, and rejected Graham, only to be given a love letter. Read the remainder of the article in Bodog Nation.

On last night's episode of The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas said goodbye to the emotionally unavailable frontrunner, Graham Bunn.

The nail in the coffin for Bunn was two-fold. On the hometown dates, Bunn's mother told Pappas that her son was a loner who had a hard time sustaining lasting relationships — his longest girlfriend earning an measly four weeks. And as if to confirm Pappas' fears, near the end of their hometown date, Bunn inexplicably clammed up. When DeAnna tried to ask what was wrong he told her that this was the way he was.

Upon his eviction from the show, DeAnna admitted that Graham was the only contender she was falling for, but feared his aloofness was a sign he would wind up hurting her.

"When you leave, it ends here," a sobbing DeAnna told Bunn.

However, in a surprise twist, Bunn gave DeAnna a letter that he said, would be able to tell her what he couldn't.

Does DeAnna have feelings for the final three contenders? Will she pull a Brad Womack? DeAnna and Graham may be reunited in next week's "Men Tell All" episode. Get all your Bachelortte Insight in Bodog Nation's Prop Culture.

This week on The Bachelorette, poor Twilley was finally evicted from the ABC show. And when it comes down to it, the guy never stood a chance to be DeAnna Pappas' future husband.

No one really knew why Twilley was on the show — perhaps he got the Bachelorette casting call confused with Beauty and the Geek, or maybe, just maybe, he thought he really had a shot. Whatever the reason, the poor guy only was successful in having one hell of an awkward appearance on the show.

One thing that worked against Twilley on the show, aside from DeAnna believing she was out of his league, was her refusal to spend any one-on-one time with him. Read the remainder of The Bachlorette Tells Nothing in Bodog Nation.

This week, the Bachelorette was just rude, damn rude. And I'm not talking about DeAnna Pappas this time. I'm talking about the show and its wicked producers. Rather than being rewarded for dutifully tuning in every Monday to watch men act like pussies before being dumped, we viewers were penalized with an hour of preshow shit in the form of a "DeAnna Tells All" interview.

The "Tell All" didn't tell us much – save for a little inside information on that scary martial arts master dude, Sean, and how he is the epitome of the Patrick Bateman character from American Psycho. Yes, Sean takes us through a "day in the life" bit, which includes a home tanning bed, allusions to hair gel, a home sauna, lots of bench presses, a giant black Hummer and a too-close-for-comfort relationship with mummy.
