In case you haven't noticed yet, Chris Paul does for fantasy teams, what performance enhancing steroids did for Major League power hitters in the late 90s.

In a 100-89 victory over the Miami Heat, Paul led his New Orleans Hornets with 21 points, 13 assists and four steals. It was the sixth consecutive 20 and 10 game for the point guard, breaking a 40-year-old Oscar Robertson record set in 1968.

He's that good.

Dwyane Wade, on the other side of the ball, contributed 30 points to go along with 10 of his own, contuining his reemergence following the Beijing games and a disappointing 2007-08.

Elsewhere in basketball Dwight Howard abused the Washington Wizards with 31 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in an Orlando Magic victory while LeBron James added 41 points in a Cleveland Cavaliers victory over the Chicago Bulls.

USA Basketball has chosen it's 12-man roster that will attempt to put the United States back on top of the world as a basketball super power.

Named to the 2008 USA Basketball Senior National Team were: Carmelo Anthony (Denver Nuggets); Carlos Boozer (Utah Jazz); Chris Bosh (Toronto Raptors); Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers); Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic); LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers); Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavericks); Chris Paul (New Orleans Hornets); Tayshaun Prince (Detroit Pistons); Michael Redd (Milwaukee Bucks); Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat); and Deron Williams (Utah Jazz).

Duke University coach Mike Krzyzewski will be the head coach.

“This has been, to say the least, an extremely difficult selection process. The 33 players who committed to be part of the USA Senior National Team program and have been involved in our various training camps and competitions the past two summers deserve recognition and acknowledgment for their contributions and for their commitment to their country,” Senior National team managing director Jerry Colangelo said.

Oh hell to the no!

Dwyane Wade's summer just got worse. Wade is dating former "The View" host Star Jones.

Both are seperated from their former spouses but Jones is 46 and Wade is 26! All the choices in the world and Wade picks an old, bitchy, woman who probably has as much extra flab on her arms as she does on her crotch.

The pairing has not been confirmed, but pictures of the two have been poping up online.

Isn't this where the boys step in? Somebody has to tell the kid "yo man, you could do better". After having the worst year of his career which included surgery and a Heat team that went 14-68 he goes the Usher route. Hopefully, if it's even still possible at this point, he doesn't get her pregnant.

Ouch. That's gotta hurt.

While their season wasn't going anywhere anyways, news that the Miami Heat have shut down franchise star Dwyane Wade for the remainder of the 2007-08 NBA season is still a downer.

Wade has struggled with a left knee injury for most of the season, gutting it out during an 11-51 disaster of a year that has the Heat gunning for lottery positioning. The rest will allow Wade to undergo a series of stimulation treatments designed to fix the knee without surgery. The procedure would keep him off the court for a month, essentially ending what has been a bad campaign all-around for Miami.

Tonight, the Heat travel to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers. How will the Wade news affect oddsmakers?
