ESPN's coverage of the 2009 WSOP Main Event continues tonight with two more hours of featured table and other footage from the floor of the Amazon Room. Tonight's episode promises to deliver some great poker action as it will feature 2009 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Lisandro at that featured table taking on fellow Aussie and 2005 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Hachem.

With Phil Ivey reaching the 2009 WSOP Final Table as a member of the November Nine, the ESPN editors obviously will have gone back to their footage of these earlier days of the Main Event and squeezed every minute of his face out of that tape to show in these episodes. So, expect to see plenty of Ivey tonight as well as the poker brat Phil Hellmuth and Peter Eastgate. It also looks like Chris Ferguson, Greg Raymer, Kenny Tran and Bertrand "elKy" Grospellier, who held the chip lead for quite sometime during this part of the tournament, will also get some TV face time.

The episodes run every Tuesday night at 8pm ET and will continue through November 10, when the November Nine final table will air, and all will feature the signature commentary of Norman Chad and Lon McEachern.

If you want a chance to appear on ESPN at the 2010 WSOP Main Event, then start playing online poker tournaments at Bodog Poker now and rack up Tournament Leader Board points for a spot in the Monthly TLB Winners' Freeroll in January 2010 for your chance to win a Main Event prize package. The 12 Monthly TLB Winners in 2009 will play in a two-table six-handed Sit 'n' Go on Sunday, January 24th, 2010, at 3pm ET. The top two players will each win a $12,000 Main Event prize package. For full details head over to the Poker Tournament Leader Board page.

On the same day that Day 1A and Day 1B of the 2009 WSOP Main Event are set to air on ESPN, Harrah's also announced they have extended their TV deal with ESPN through the year 2018. Yay, nine more years of "The Nuts" segments and odd corporate sponsorship deals.

"The WSOP is proud to call ESPN home for another nine years," said Jeffrey Pollack, President of Harrah's Interactive Entertainment and the World Series of Poker. "This long-term agreement ensures that our content will continue to reach sports fans around the world through every medium that matters."

WSOP content will be available to ESPN for the following platforms: ESPN, ESPN HD, ESPN2, ESPN2 HD, ESPN Classic, ESPN.com, ESPN360.com, ESPN Mobile TV and ESPN International outlets outside of the United States.

“We are very excited to continue our relationship with Harrah’s to deliver the largest, richest, and most prestigious gaming event in the world to fans across a variety of our platforms,” said Doug White, senior director of programming and acquisitions, ESPN. “Poker continues to be a solid ratings performer for us and allows us to continue offering diverse programming to our viewers.“

So, to celebrate this momentous occasiuon, they will show the two most boring starting days of the 2009 WSOP tonight at 9pm ET. The only good thing about these starting days was the presence of Team Bodog online poker players Ryan "rjules12″ Julius, Patrice "hotmax9″ Libert, who spent most of the day seated next to poker legend Amarillo Slim, Robert "rmobley65″ Mobley, David "DARKHELMET13″ Lee, Jean-Yves "neophrak" Desmoort, Walter "Panicked" Wright and Patricia "MsSassy" Bickley.

See if you can keep an eye out for the Black and Red of Team Bodog among the sea of donkeys at the Main Event. Meanwhile, we'll be playing the "hey was that us?" game all night. Yipee.

In anticipation of the 2009 WSOP Main Event Final Table (the "November Nine"), ESPN is kicking off a weekly online poker news show that will feature some of the biggest players in the game and cover poker news as well as taking an inside look at the lifestyle in the world of poker.

Named the Inside Deal, the show debuts next Tuesday, August 4, and will be co-hosted by ESPN The Magazine contributor Laura Lane (super hot as a brunette), professional poker player and ESPN.com columnist Bernard Lee and ESPN.com poker editor Andrew Feldman.

The series runs for three months and will finish when the World Series of Poker Main Event final table does. To prepare viewers for the November Nine, they will interview and analyze each of the remaining nine competitors as well as offering never-before seen hands and features from the World Series of Poker broadcasts.

Throughout the series, fans will be able to submit questions to their favorite pros via email, Twitter and Facebook. Fans will also be given an exclusive chance to participate in a sweepstakes where one lucky winner will experience the November Nine in a unique way.

The guest for the first show next Tuesday is Chris Moneymaker, the 2003 WSOP Main Event champion, with subsequent shows playing host to poker pros Daniel Negreanu and Joseph Hachem.

ESPN has always tried to come up with the best combination of WSOP events to air to garner the best ratings possible. Last year there was a good amount of diversity among the events, with the $50,000 HORSE event being given good air time, and the ESPN cameras were a familiar sight in the Amazon Room at the Rio over the seven weeks of the WSOP. However, with the anouncement of the ESPN TV schedule for the 2009 WSOP, the focus this year will be on No Limit Hold'em and charity/invitational events.

Of the 57 events that will take place during the 2009 WSOP only two of them will actually be seen on ESPN, the $40,000 buy-in Special 40th Anniversary event and the $10,000 WSOP Main Event. The other two events on the schedule are the Ante Up For Africa charity event and the WSOP Champions Invitational. So, it looks like the focus this year will be big names (poker and celebs), big money and big fields with any mixed games or smaller events completely missing.

Now a week removed from the melee that was the 2008 WSOP and life has begun to return to normal, and part of that will involve us playing the "spot ourselves in the background" game when ESPN begins airing this year's World Series of Poker tomorrow night.

The WSOP episodes will air at 8 pm each Tuesday for the next 17 weeks; a total of 33 hours of coverage leading up to the semi-live broadcast of the "November Nine" at the final table of the 2008 WSOP on November 9 – 10.

The episodes begin with, not surprisingly, Event No. 1 – $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha World Championship – which featured a star-studded field and a stacked final table. Poker pros Andy Bloch, Kathy Liebert, Mike Sexton, Patrik Antonius, Phil Laak and Mike "SowersUNCC" Sowers all graced the felt of that final table with fellow poker pro Nenad Medic walking away as the new champion and $794,112 richer.

Next week's show will feature the largest non-Main Event field in WSOP history for Event No. 2 – $1,500 No Limit Holdem – which was won by Team Bodog's own Grant Hinkle.

You can play the game too, except you don't know what we look like, so it'll be more difficult for you to "spot us in the background." Just point at random people taking pictures and assume it's us. Wait, that's boring, so just yell at the TV a lot, maybe make it a drinking game. Done now.

Qualify online for the WSOP Europe, WPT and EPT all through Bodog Poker.

As part of ESPN's all-around coverage of the 2008 WSOP, they are broadcasting a lot of the final tables here online on ESPN 360. As part of their coverage, they are cherry-picking some poker pros to provide color commentary for those final tables.

Last night, they grabbed Team Bodog's own Maria Ho to provide insight on the final table of Event No. 7 – $2,000 No Limit Holdem. The final table featured several high profile poker pros including the dominating force of JC Tran, Alex Bolotin, Theo Tran and Shannon Shorr. We managed to grab some pics of Maria on the set of the show, analyzing the play of those pros and representing Team Bodog very well.

The eventual winner, after a massive implosion by monster chip leader Tran, was Matt Keikoan, who walked away with $550,601 in prize money and a WSOP bracelet.

We know for a fact that there will be other Team Bodog members doing the color commentary for ESPN 360, so make sure to head over there and check out the coverage as the 2008 WSOP continues.

WSOP online satellites are still available in the Bodog Poker room where you can start on your way to qualifying for a $12,000 WSOP VIP Prize Package for as little as $1.50.
