It isn't often that you get to prepare for your second opponent of the season all summer, but that's basically what Arkansas did for Saturday’s game with No. 23 Georgia.

No offense to Missouri State, but the Razorbacks really didn't need to focus too much on the Bears for their season opener. And Arkansas has been off since that 48-10 win on Sept. 5, so that's even more preparation time for the Bulldogs. Georgia, on the other hand, enters off a hard-fought win over South Carolina last weekend. So maybe it's not too surprising, then, that Arkansas is a 2.5-point favorite at Bodog Sportsbook – live betting is available for this game.

Teams coached by Bobby Petrino, in his second year at Arkansas, are 22-6 all-time when having more than one week to prepare for a game.

The Hogs are considered one of the sleeper teams in the SEC this year, but it's hard to know what to make of them with only one game in their pocket. Michigan transfer Ryan Mallett looked great in the opener, completing 17-of-22 passes for 309 yards and a TD. But, again, that was against Missouri State.

However, Georgia's pass defense hasn't been great, as it allowed 313 yards through the air last week to an offensively challenged South Carolina team.

Georgia does welcome back tailback Caleb King this week; he is being called "very probable." King was No. 1 on the depth chart heading into fall camp but missed the first two games with a hamstring injury. Richard Samuel will continue to start. The Bulldogs also get a defensive reinforcement as end Justin Houston returns from a two-game suspension. He is one of the strongest players on the team and had three sacks in Georgia's spring game; the Dawgs' defense has just two sacks this season, and that unit lost starting end Rod Battle to a season-ending knee injury last week. Houston will start right away.

This is the first time these teams have met since 2005. Arkansas has never beaten Georgia in Fayetteville (0-3). In fact, the Dawgs are one of the best road teams in the SEC since Mark Richt arrived, going 24-4 in conference away games and having won five in a row.

A year ago at this time, Mark Richt's Georgia Bulldogs were the No. 2 team in the country heading into a game with South Carolina and obviously expecting to be in the national championship mix.

Fast forward to a year later and Saturday's game against South Carolina, and the No. 21 Dawgs could fall out of the polls entirely if they don't avoid a home upset to the Gamecocks, who are 7-point underdogs on Bodog.

Do you like the Georgia Bulldogs in this one? Then bet on them.
Get all your college football betting at Bodog.

Georgia was game but overmatched last week in Oklahoma State. The Dawgs have not started 0-2 since 1996 – which is the last time the school failed to reach a bowl game. Unfortunately for UGa, their one quarterback with experience is having all sorts of issues. That would be Joe Cox, who was just 15-for-30 for 162 yards with a touchdown and interception last week.

Cox was playing through the flu last week and just recently regained his appetite but has lost nine pounds. Now comes word that Cox is playing through nerve problems in his shoulder. The senior obviously wants to stay on the field, as he had to sit and watch for three years behind Matthew Stafford, but is he hurting the team? There already had been rumblings that the Dawgs might turn to backup Logan Gray, but Cox is going to start this week – it might be his last chance.

There are two other key Georgia players dealing with injuries. One is running back Caleb King, who once was expected to be the starter. He has a hamstring problem and didn't play last week. King is officially questionable this week. The other is starting left tackle Trinton Sturdivant, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last week against Oklahoma State. It's a tough break, as he missed all of the 2008 season with an injury as well. Needless to say, all these ailments won't help an offense that managed only 177 yards and three points after its first drive against OSU.

As for South Carolina, offense also seems to be a problem. The Gamecocks only managed seven points in their opener but beat N.C. State, 7-3, holding the Wolfpack to 133 yards. That seven-point output was only the 21st time in Steve Spurrier's coaching career in which his offense scored seven points or fewer. It was the first time he ever won a game coaching when his team was held to seven points or fewer.

Spurrier, the former quarterback guru, is banking on improvement from sophomore Stephen Garcia, who was just 13 of 22 for 148 yards with one interception and three sacks. South Carolina, the same team that was last in the SEC in rushing last year, rushed for just 108 against the Wolfpack.

So expect points to be at a premium on Saturday. Only once this decade in this series has either team scored more than 21 points. Georgia won 14-7 last year, but South Carolina won in Athens in 2007, 16-12.

That’s the main theme for Saturday’s SEC matchup with the Kentucky Wildcats (6-3 SU, 4-4 ATS) at Commonwealth Stadium. The Dawgs have to muster up some resolve after getting steamrolled 49-10 by Florida (-7.5), a loss that puts Georgia on the outer fringes of title contention at No. 13 on the BCS charts.

Kentucky has only beaten Georgia once in 11 games, and once in six games ATS. That was two years ago when they last met in Lexington, a 24-20 Wildcats win as 6.5-point home dogs. Kentucky gets 11 points this time around.

The under is 6-2 for Kentucky, riding a combination of a strong defensive line and a mediocre offense. The Bulldogs offensive line is vulnerable after 10 weeks of wear and tear. The Cats can keep this one close; they’re 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS as underdogs.

With ten minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Florida Gators are leading the game with a whopping 41 to 3.

Today, both teams come in having won three straight since their only losses of the season. Now, Formerly known as "The World's Largest Cocktail Party" the latest Florida/Georgia showdown will not only give one team the victory but they will also get the inside track on capturing the SEC East Division and keeping a national title hope alive.

The 6-point favored Gators, however, appear to have some extra motivation working for them. Florida felt disrespected by its archival in last season’s matchup, and the Gators will be looking to avenge that bitter loss to Georgia in Jacksonville.

The Bulldogs defeated Florida 42-30 last year for just their third win in the last 18 meetings. Matthew Stafford was 11-of-18 for 217 yards, a career-high three TDs and one interception in the win for Georgia.

Florida scored with 20 seconds remaining in the first quarter to go up, 7-0, when Percy Harvin went in untouched from 13 yards out on an option pitch from Tim Tebow.

The one thing that was apparent early on in the game has been the intensity of the atmosphere. Florida’s Brandon Spikes hit Knowshon Moreno hard on the first possession.

Be sure to get all your college football odds in the Bodog Sportsbook.

The SEC delivers another classic matchup this Saturday night when the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0 SU, 3-1 ATS) roll through Sanford Stadium to face the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs (4-0 SU, 2-0-1 ATS) on ESPN. This should be a close contest, although the odds will be well in Georgia’s favor.

The Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Tide, but that number is relatively meaningless, since it dates back to 1994. The relevant figure is the 26-23 overtime win Georgia posted last year as a 3-point road dog. Alabama is playing much better this year, leading the SEC in rushing at 236.8 yards per game.

Georgia will try to get a psychological edge in this matchup by wearing black for just the third time in team history. The other two times were last year against Auburn and Hawaii; the Bulldogs easily won and covered both games. I think they’ll win again, but only by a field goal. Get all your NCAA College Football Odds in the Bodog Sportsbook today!

All the Arizona State Sun Devils realistically needed to do to get into this year’s national title game was beat either the Georgia Bulldogs at home or the USC Trojans on the road. And win all the rest of their games.

Change of plans. Arizona State’s 23-20 overtime loss to UNLV (+25) means that the Sun Devils almost certainly have to run the table. They must defeat the preseason No. 1 team in the nation as 7-point home dogs on Saturday. This is a tight line. Georgia just got through beating the South Carolina Gamecocks 14-7 as a 7-point road fave.

This has the potential to be a blowout with all those injuries to the Sun Devils defense. Although Georgia is also hurting a bit, that potential makes the Bulldogs our pick for this matchup. It doesn’t hurt that they’re on a 5-0-1 ATS streak dating back to last season. Arizona State is 1-6 ATS in its last seven contests. The Bodog Sportsbook has all your NCAA college football odds. Place your bets, people.
