It's pretty common knowledge how much Bodog Poker pro Evelyn Ng loves to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band. If you didn't know this, you should probably head out of your cave for a bit and get caught up with the rest of the world.

So, when The Beatles: Rock Band hit stores one could only assume that Evy would be all over it and posting videos displaying her total domination of the game within hours of it being released. That is exactly what we have here, Evy scoring 100% on Expert for the song "Can't Buy Me Love."

That's not all of them though. There's many many more videos on Evy's YouTube channel of her crushing Guitar Hero and all the different versions of Rock Band, including this video. Can you tell why we like that one? The fact that Evy has decked her guitar out with a giant Bodog logo? Nah, must be something else…

As the third largest music company in the world Warner Music Group Corp has some clout in the industry. So it must have been with some disappointment that the producers of games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band were told to expect to start paying them a lot more to license their music for the games.

“The amount being paid to the music industry, even though their games are entirely dependent on the content we own and control, is far too small,” said Warner Music Chief Executive Edgar Bronfman in a statement.

What remains to be seen is whether the game producers will concede to Warner Music or whether they will point out that they don’t have a monopoly on good music and work exclusively with other companies. Although, to be fair, these games are making a butt load of money. If only the artists could renegotiate for a cut of all this action.

Ng has been the talk of the WSOP even before her big finish last night. It all started when she challenged PokerNews writer Gary Gates in a Guitar Hero prop bet.

Gates was soundly thrashed and the it was all pretty entertaining but it wasn't until last night that we saw the result of the prop bet. While Evelyn was busy gobbling up chips in Day 1C of the WSOP, Gary Gates showed up dressed in a toga holding a huge palm leaf and proceeded to serve as a loyal fan boy.

Perhaps the satisfaction of the moment helped propel Ng into the top 30 players ending Day 1C with over 100,000 in chips. Not bad considering it was the biggest field yet with 1,928 and it was played down to just over 1,000.

The combined total entrants for Days 1A, B and C is 4,383. That means that all we need to break last year's total field of 6,358 is for 1,975 entrants to show up here today for Day 1D. Since today is usually the biggest day of them all it looks very likely that this year's WSOP Main Event will be bigger than last year.

Rumors floating around the WSOP tournament floor are that we are looking at around 2,300 for today. And so the poker watermark is looking like yet another year of growth.

Last week we posted the video of Bodog poker pro Evelyn Ng dominating PokerNews.com's Garry Gates at Guitar Hero and embarassingly so. Well, this is a video with the results of the side bet that Evy and Garry made over their Guitar Hero Battle Royale. It would seem that Evy wasn't quite done embarassing him and made him her "fan boy." Watch and taste the humiliation.

However, they keep trying and we keep enjoying the fruits of those labors and last night it was the World Series of Barbecue hosted by Howard and Suzie Lederer and Steve Zolotow, featuring a charity poker tournament to benefit Phil Ivey's Budding Ivey Foundation. After much wrangling to get on lists and what-not, we walked up to the entrance to the Tank pool at the Golden Nugget and were given wristbands with no question or reference to any said list….whatever.

We gotta hand it to the Lederers/Zolotow, the Golden Nugget's pool is one of the classier places in Downtown Vegas and a great spot for a pool party, and they managed to not have the place packed with socially-awkward poker players with pasty white skin. The drinks flowed nicely, the buffet was well-appointed with Greek food and the drinks were flowing nicely….wait.

Anyway, it was pretty hot but we wanted to stick around to see Bodog poker pro Evelyn Ng put on another display of ridiculous Guitar Hero skills, especially after being wowed by her performance against PokerNews, and she did not disappoint. She played "Cherub Rock" by Smashing Pumpkins on expert level almost to perfection and then asked who wanted to compete. When absolutely no one responded, she realized that she had forgotten to mention that people would be playing against each other and not her. After that, the hands went up and the kids took the stage to prove that we are getting old are are bad at video games.

After that, we went to, umm, the….uh…have we mentioned the drinks? There's something in the fog about a craps table at the Nugget and there's extra money in our pockets today…so, needless to say we think things went well from there.

Tonight is the Bluff Magazine party at Sapphire, which promises to be waaaaay better than it was last year, so after a few hairs of the dog, we'll probably enjoy ourselves immensely and then sober up in time for the Bodog VIP shindig tomorrow night. We took a trip over to Bodog poker pro Evelyn Ng's apartment yesterday to bear witness to her mythical prowess at Guitar Hero. If you know anything about Evy away from the poker table, you know that she is a gamer who specializes in Guitar Hero (and already dominates Rock Band as well we found out).

Well, PokerNews.com Tournament Coverage Manager Garry Gates thought it would be a good idea, and that he was good enough, to challenge Evy at a Guitar Hero duel with the winner receiving $1,000 for the charity of their choice. After an hour of calibrating the lag (yeh, they were serious) on their respective guitar controllers and debating over the most fair and intersesting format for the battle, the game was on.

To say that it was a one-sided battle would be a little bit of an understatement. Well, we'll let you watch the video to see how it goes down and to see who wins what and where it goes..
