Grint will be appearing in Cherry Bomb, and he will have to film a sex scene with costar Kimberley Nixon, reports PR-Inside.com. "I really loved the script and having done Harry Potter, I wanted to do something different," Grint said on BBC Newsline of why he took the part. "It was quite a challenge."

The movie reportedly centers around three characters, Malachy (Grint), his best friend Luke (played by Robert Sheehan) and the new girl Michelle (Nixon). Michelle is a disturbed character who forces both of the boys to do terrible things for her with someone dying in the end.

"Like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films – changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of," Warner Bros. president Alan Horn said to the Hollywood Reporter. "We agreed the best strategy was to move Half-Blood Prince to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tentpole release for midsummer."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the final two movie adaptations of the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is still on schedule, with the first part slated for Nov. 19, 2010.
