Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig got pissed of at an inconsiderate audience member during their Broadway performance of A Steady Rain, when a cell phone went off not once, but twice.

Jackman, unable to ignore the incessant ringing, yelled into the audience without breaking character, "You wanna get that? You wanna get it, grab it! I don't care, grab it. Grab your phone. It doesn't matter."

When the phone continued to ring, he shouted, "C'mon, just turn it off – unless you got a better story and you wanna get out and tell your story!"

Jackman paced around the stage, obviously thrown off by the ringing phone. He was able to regain himself but moments later the phone rang again, prompting a frustrated Craig to shout, "Can you get that, whoever that is? Can you get it? We can wait, just get the phone."

Jackman yelled, "Don't be embarrassed, just grab it. We've all done it!"

2008 was a killer year for Hugh Jackman, who was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive recently. And for Jackman, 2009 will start off with a bang, as the hot Aussie and America's favorite piece of man meat will host the 81st Academy Awards. Apparently, his peeps have stated that he will not be doing any Billy Crystal-type comedy routines.

“Hugh Jackman is a consummate entertainer and an internationally renowned movie star,” executive producers Laurence Mark and Bill Condon said in a joint statement. “He also has style, elegance and a sense of occasion. Hugh is the ideal choice to host a celebration of the year’s movies – and to have fun doing it.”

Jackman recently starred in the Baz Luhrmann epic Australia, which received mixed reviews. Although Jackman has earned success in his career in theater and television, he is known mostly for his role as Wolverine in X-Men.

Jackman has been married to Deborra-Lee Furness, who he met on the set of his first TV acting job, since 1996.

Jackman recently told People magazine, "Deb and my kids have been the best things that have ever happened to me, without a doubt."

The 2009 Academy Awards will be held on February 22, 2009.

I think we can all agree that actress Nicole Kidman can be hit and miss. There were the tragedies like Fur, Birth and The Invasion – but there were also successes like To Die For, The Others, Moulin Rouge and The Hours. However, perhaps for Kidman, starring in Baz Luhrmann's epic was an attempt to breathe positive life into a career that has seen, most recently, more valleys than peaks. However, a Times Online columnist Melanie Reid doesn't let Kidman off that easy – holding no punches when it comes to the actress. With an obvious loathing for Kidman, Reid provides what could go down as the most scathing critique of an actor's performance ever published.

Reid writes, "Australia the movie, however, has one huge problem. It stars Nicole Kidman. Big mistake. Big, big mistake. At a stroke, the world's female cinemagoers will say as one: 'I'm not going to see it if she's in it.'

"Kidman is one of those women who turns other women off. And no, not just because she's pretty and we're jealous. It is because we perceive, and men don't, that she's one of the most overrated actors in the world, a woman who has been the kiss of death in practically every movie she has starred in.

"Kidman is exquisitely accomplished at being awful. Did anyone see Cold Mountain? The sweeping American epic (note: another epic) foundered on the rocks of her gormless mirror-gaze. She can't act. Instead, she drifts around films like a lost porcelain doll, looking frozen, brittle and vapid, staring at the camera with her oh-golly-look-how-I'm-looking-interesting blue eyes. "

Now we'll admit that Kidman's excessive addiction Botox isn't exactly helping her acting career, and that yeah – she's made a stinker or two – but for Reid to be so bold as to state that "the world's female cinemagoers" will balk when they find out Kidman is in a movie – well, the sweeping generalizations are probably not good for Reid's writing career.

Hugh Jackman is pretty hot and even cuter when he's being Punk'd.

For his status as People magazine's 2008 Sexiest Man Alive title, Jackman replaced Matt Damon and beat out the likes of Daniel Craig and Zac Efron.

Jackman has been married to Deborra-Lee Furness for 12 years. When informed that her husband had won the title of People's 2008 Sexiest Man Alive, she said she could have told them that years ago.

People writes that they chose Jackman because he's "all scruff and biceps," he's a "triple threat" and is a loving family man to boot.

Jackman tells People of his wife Deborra, "In my early 20s, I didn't have a regular girlfriend. I was single and really happy about it. And then when I was 26, I met Deb on [the Australian TV show] Correlli. She was my leading lady. It was just undeniable. I started planning to propose to her at about three months. We are happy. Deb and my kids have been the best things that have ever happened to me, without a doubt."
