That's the news out of Washington today as club officials have confirmed that the Redskins have obtained stalwart DE Jason Taylor from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a second round pick in 2009 and a sixth-round pick in 2010.

Taylor is a six-time Pro Bowler and won the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 2006. Despite all his on-field accolades, he might best be remembered as the guy who finished as the runner-up in the last season of Dancing With the Stars.

Taylor will fill the hole left by a knee injury to Daniels, who was hurt in a training camp practice session on Sunday. Daniels' backup, Alex Buzbee, had suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon on the first day of training camp will also miss the season.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel are reporting that the Packers have called the Dolphins to see if they is willing to deal the star defensive end.

"Anytime you can get a guy of that caliber, you'd want to try to get him," defensive tackles coach Robert Nunn said to the Press-Gazette. "But I don't get involved in anything like that."

The Dolphins have stated that they do not comment on rumors.
