Out in among that Day 1A field are poker pros Jeff Madsen, Roland de Wolfe, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch and Bodog Poker pro Jean-Robert Bellande. Those making a brief appearance and now out enjoying London (one of a favorite places in the world) are Barry Greenstein, Phil Hellmuth and Neil Channing.

As of time of publish there are still 149 players remaining, but the speed at which they are dropping is impressive as almost 60% the field is gone already. The current chip leader is the diminutive Sung Hee Yun with 17,000 in chips.

For Bellande, today is not only the "getting prepped for the WSOP Europe" day, but it is also his birthday. So, happy birthday to Jean-Robert. Looks like to celebrate this erstwhile occasion, Bellande is heading to the famous London shopping mecca Harrod's to get decked out for a Jay-Z concert tonight. While DW has been fairly silent on his Twitter (@dwbodogpro OR @dwpoker) for the past few days (except to share this gem of a video), we do know that the last we heard he was wrapping up the EPT Barcelona and planning on being in London for the WSOP Europe:

Based on what we know about DW, we wouldn't be surprised if he ran into Bellande tonight at the Jay-Z show. We'll have to keep an eye on Twitter to see what rock star antics these two get up to in London. Let's start with DW. In the past month alone, he has been in Cannes, France, to play the Partouche Poker Tour championship event, Barcelona, Spain, to play in the EPT Barcelona event and will now be in London in a few days to play in the WSOP Europe.

Bellande has been playing in the Bellagio poker room for a few weeks building up a bankroll and also made the trip to Cannes with DW for the PPT event. He is now in Cyprus for the WPT Merit Cyprus Championship and, based on his Twitter updates, looks like he could be heading to Tel Aviv any day now.

On the other hand, Bonomo is on this side of the pond and taking a bit of a break from poker. He's been out to concerts (Kings of Leon for one) and to UFC fights. And now, as we speak, he is in Mexico City with some friends to watch Mexico play Honduras in a World Cup qualifier match.

While Evy has been mostly in Vegas, she is moving from her super nice condo poolside at Panorama to a really sick place on the 37th floor at Panorama that has an amazing view of the strip. She's also been playing ridiculous amount of Guitar Hero 5 and the new Rock Band: Beatles and also attended a Red Octane (makers of Guitar Hero) function for the new game DJ Hero.

Bodog Poker pro Jean Robert Bellande joins us from the north valet at the Bellagio to give us an update on what's going on with him. Along with giving us some insight on the game he's playing at the moment, trying to build his bankroll, he gives us a quick rundown on the Big Game at the Bellagio and the ridiculous limits that Phil Ivey, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and crew are playing. Bonomo's teammate Jean Robert Bellande took a bit of a downswing earlier this evening back has climbed up out of his hole back up to 165,000.

There are still an astounding 1,486 players left out of the starting 2,924 thanks to the sellout situation from Day 1D, so there is still quite a ways to go, but this is a great way to start for both of them.

Notable chip leaders at the moment include Phil Ivey, who is looking bulletproof at the moment, Kevin 'BeL0WaB0Ve' Saul, Kenny Tran, David Benyamine and Josh Arieh.

We have some disappointing news. Tomorrow is a day off, which means no news from us from the WSOP. We know, don't cry, you'll only make us feel worse. Ok, fine, maybe we'll update you from the media tournament. Happy? (So selfish.)

Anyway, there is still plenty to do with the Bodog Mini Poker Series going on and everything, so try to occupy your time and give us a day to recover and come back better than ever for Day 3. And by "recover," we mean play poker and go to the last shindig of the WSOP party season, leaving us exhausted for Day 3.

Bellande has grown his stack in this fashion all day and has jumped from his starting stack of 51,000 up to 120,000 at the dinner break. He is running good and in one of the hands we watched he managed to get a player to call all-in on the river by representing weakness with an overbet, only to turn over trip sixes to beat out his opponent's two-pair, with three hearts showing on the board. Yeh, he's running good right now.

Not to be left out, Bodog Poker pro Justin Bonomo is also climbing the lederboard. He is currently at 174,000 at the break, up from the 103,000 he started the day with. Bonomo has looked comfortable over the past two days of play and, when we spoke with him, felt he was playing well and making good decisions. You can't ask for more than that.

Other notable players up near the chip leaders include Josh Arieh, Jeff Lisandro, Antonio Esfandiari, Kenny Tran, David Benyamine, Hevad Khan, Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth and 2008 November Nine member Dennis Phillips.

In the last video blog from the Bodog Social, poker pro Jean Robert Bellande attempts to get Justin Bonomo to bowl a strike. Unfortunately, Bonomo is admittedly a terrible bowler and no one seems to be able to work the machine to get the pins to stand up straight… wonder why? Looks like the answer may be in Bellande's hand.

Williams and Bellande will return today for the second round of this event where they will once again have to be the lone survivors in order to get to the final table of this event. Bellande will sit down at a tough table with Andreas Hoivold, Shawn Buchanan and Nick Binger and Williams finds himself with a fairly innocuous table draw with no immediately recognizable names. However, those can sometimes be the worst.

Play gets underway again at 2pm this afternoon and your intrepid Beat reporters will be there to bring you all of the action. If by all, you mean some and by action, you mean photos from our chair by the pool. According to the official announcement, there will be 64 tables in play today, meaning that there will be 64 players moving onto Day 2 when play wraps up today. It also means that winning your table also guarantees a cash, so basically a $1,500 sit'n'go for a cash and then another for even more and one last one to win a bracelet. Sounds easy, right?

Anyway, out in the field for this event are Maria Ho, Mark Seif, Sorel Mizzi, Chino Rheem, Allen Cunningham, Humberto Brenes, Gavin Smith, Gavin Griffin, J.C. Tran, Men "The Master" Nguyen, Joe Sebok and Michael Mizrachi are here. Unfortunately, Evy managed to find herself sat with Dennis Phillips, Barny Boatman, and Tom McEvoy.
