Michaele and Tarq Salahi are White House Party Crashers

Michaele and Tarq Salahi are national heroes, or zeros, depending upon who you ask. But I'm going with heroes because it take a giant set of balls to breeze past security and crash the White House State Dinner to honor India. Once inside, the couple helped themselves to cocktails at the open bar and took pictures with Vice President Joe Biden, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and other high-ranking peeps.

The couple later posted pictures of the event on their joint Facebook page with the caption,"Honored to be at the White House for the state dinner in honor of India with President Obama and our First Lady!"

Michaele is rumored to be one of The Real Housewives of DC and word has it that Bravo's camera crew filmed her getting ready for the event, apparently unaware that she was actually never invited to the fancy shin dig.

The Secret Service said, "Everyone who enters the White House grounds goes through magnetometers and several other levels of screenings. That was the case with the state dinner last night. No one was under any risk or threat."

The Washington Post reported, "While the White House offered no official explanation, it appears to be the first time in modern history that anyone has crashed a White House state dinner."

We love golfing on a Sunday afternoon, so why can't famous politicians do the same thing?

It is a great escape from the job at hand, the game demands such attention that nothing else matters and it is time spent with friends.

So with what friends do some of the most famous politicians like to partner up?

Among President Gerald R. Ford's favorite pastimes was playing golf. He played in the Bob Hope Classic for 23 years, the highlight coming in 1995 when he and Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush played with tournament host Bob Hope and professional Scott Hoch. It marked the first time a sitting president played in the Classic and the first time three presidents had played together.

President Barack Obama has gone to the golf course over 10 times since he took the oath of office a little more than seven months ago, including a round on Father’s Day with Vice President Joe Biden.

Vice President Joe Biden's daughter, Ashley Biden, has reportedly been caught snorting cocaine on video at a house party in Delaware.

Ashley Biden's ex boyfriend is apparently shopping around a video of the 27-year-old social working snorting cocaine. The NY Post reports they saw about 90 seconds of the alleged 43 minute video.

The seller has reportedly been trying to earn a cool $2 million from the video, but has since dropped the price to $400,000. The video reportedly shows a 20-something woman with light skin and long brown hair taking a red straw from her mouth, bending over a desk, inserting the straw into her nostril and snorting lines of white powder.

If the woman in the video is actually Biden, it could be a huge hit to her career. Biden is a social worker with the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Families, and is also a board member of the Delaware YWCA organization. Ashley Biden was busted in 1999 for possession of marijuana, though the charges were later dismissed. In 2002, Ashley was arrested for obstructing a police officer outside a Chicago bar.

If you had trouble following the Vice Presidential debate last night – don't worry, adennak at DailyKos has got you covered.

It's not off-base to say that Sarah Palin did better than expected last night – but at the same time, we really need to analyze the way she dodged questions she didn't know the answers to and why her answers sounded like canned responses peppered with key phrases such as maverick, partisan, six-pack Joe, hockey mom and energy. You must admit, it did get confusing slash frustrating when you were thinking what question is she answering?

We at Bodog Beat were shocked last night when Sarah Palin didn't blunder as hard as she did in the infamous Katie Couric interviews. No major gaffes; no inability to name a newspaper she'd read. Frankly, it was not the train wreck America was expecting. Although there were times when she completely ignored questions and deferred the topic to her biggest strength – energy. However, luckily for Palin, the consensus is that not tanking has worked in her favor – as a CBS poll indicates that 55% have a better opinion of Palin, 14% say they have a worse opinion and 30 % said their opinion hasn't changed.

There were also cutesy winks at the camera (was she flirting with us?), her incessant reference to John McCain as a "maverick" and also her continual argument that she represents the average hockey mom and "six-pack Joe." Does "six-pack Joe" need to be represented? Perhaps he's better off in his La-Z-Boy.

She also opposed Biden's detailed plan to slowly withdraw troops in Iraq and hand over the responsibilities to the Iraqi soldiers using the simplistic argument that doing so would be like "waving a white flag of defeat." This basic argument to an extremely complex situation begs the question whether or not she ponders the issues with staying in Iraq – i.e. costing us $10 billion a month, the loss of lives, etc. – or if for her, it's just a matter of a more primal need – the need to "win."

So who won the debate? Joe Biden won the CBS poll with 46% of the vote. Palin nabbed 21%, but 33% said it was a tie. Here's one of the highlights from the debate:

PALIN: I am because he's got a good health care plan that is detailed. And I want to give you a couple details on that. He's proposing a $5,000 tax credit for families so that they can get out there and they can purchase their own health care coverage. That's a smart thing to do. That's budget neutral. That doesn't cost the government anything as opposed to Barack Obama's plan to mandate health care coverage and have universal government run program and unless you're pleased with the way the federal government has been running anything lately, I don't think that it's going to be real pleasing for Americans to consider health care being taken over by the feds. But a $5,000 health care credit through our income tax that's budget neutral. That's going to help. And he also wants to erase those artificial lines between states so that through competition, we can cross state lines and if there's a better plan offered somewhere else, we would be able to purchase that. So affordability and accessibility will be the keys there with that $5,000 tax credit also being offered.

IFILL: Thank you, governor. Senator?

BIDEN: Gwen, I don't know where to start. We don't call a redistribution in my neighborhood Scranton, Claymont, Wilmington, the places I grew up, to give the fair to say that not giving Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) another $4 billion tax cut this year as John calls for and giving it to middle class people to be able to pay to get their kids to college, we don't call that redistribution. We call that fairness number one. Number two fact, 95 percent of the small businesses in America, their owners make less than $250,000 a year. They would not get one single solitary penny increase in taxes, those small businesses.

BIDEN: Now, with regard to the — to the health care plan, you know, it's with one hand you giveth, the other you take it. You know how Barack Obama — excuse me, do you know how John McCain pays for his $5,000 tax credit you're going to get, a family will get?

He taxes as income every one of you out there, every one of you listening who has a health care plan through your employer. That's how he raises $3.6 trillion, on your — taxing your health care benefit to give you a $5,000 plan, which his Web site points out will go straight to the insurance company.

And then you're going to have to replace a $12,000 — that's the average cost of the plan you get through your employer — it costs $12,000. You're going to have to pay — replace a $12,000 plan, because 20 million of you are going to be dropped. Twenty million of you will be dropped.

So you're going to have to place — replace a $12,000 plan with a $5,000 check you just give to the insurance company. I call that the "Ultimate Bridge to Nowhere."

2008 Vice Presidential Debate Time Nears

If Sarah Palin flails in any way close to how badly she flailed during the Katie Couric interviews, tonight is going to be one serioulsy entertaining night. Yes, it's finally here – the night when Sarah Palin will be pinned behind a podium to face-off against Joe Biden on real issues rather than her "I'm a hockey mom so I represent you" generalizations.

The 90-minute debate will air on PBS and all the major networks. If you have plans tonight and your TIVO is out of comission, it will be replayed by CNN on Friday morning at 9 a.m. It can also be viewed live at www.mydebates.org.

As Haliq News eloquently put it: "Palin’s awkward silences, inability to answer simple questions with specificity and tendency to dodge inquiries with folksy, tail-chasing palaver — strikingly reminiscent of President George W. Bush’s well-known verbal floundering, and captured artfully by Tina Fey — have become the stuff of pop culture. If Biden can manage to just leave her alone, it would seem that Palin has plenty of rope and knows how to tie her own knots."

As the Vice presidential debate time nears, many of us our trying to ease the pain of what a gong show it's going to be for Sarah Palin by devising fun activities such as Palin Bingo and now a VP drinking game.

Here are the VP debate drinking game rules courtesy of The Seminal.

Disclaimer: If you are going to play this drinking game (which I don't recommend), choose a few of the options below. And do not, under any circumstances, try this in public.

Another Disclaimer: You may notice that there are more elements dedicated to Palin than Biden. I don't care. Face it, Palin is way easier than Biden to make fun of.

Every time Palin tries to talk about energy policy: praise your favorite oil company and pour an Alaskan Oil Spill.
When Biden mentions Scranton, PA: Drink a Rolling Rock or similar "working class" beer.
Every time Palin mentions a Moose or says something so stupid you think she might be less intelligent than one: drink a Moosehead beer.
Everytime Biden mentions a foreign leader he has met: sip wine — every time he mentions a Senator as a friend: drink beer.
When Palin claims she said "Thanks but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere: Demand a new drink from your hosts, say "thanks but no thanks," and then when no one's looking, take it anyway, then claim you never wanted it. (Via)

Everytime Biden says "Folks": clink glasses/bottles, increasing the number of clinks each time — ex. the third time he says "folks" you clink three times.
Whenever Palin doesn't know an answer but comes off as adorable: drink a fuzzy navel.
Every time "main street" and "wall street" are uttered in the same sentence, toss back a shot of Courvoisier and chase it with a sip of Old English.

Good luck, have fun, don't puke and don't drive. It's the Amercian way. The American way is also to throw a few bucks on the game. Why not bet on the presidential election with Bodog.

The 90-minute debate will air on all the major networks and will be replayed by CNN on Friday morning at 9 a.m. It can also be viewed live at www.mydebates.org. Two presidential debates between Barack Obama and John McCain will follow on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. EST and Wednesday, October 15.

After some uncomfortable and unflattering interviews with Katie Couric, Palin will have to brush up on, well, just about everything.
