The $2,500 Mixed Holdem event is underway at the 2009 WSOP and while we were taking a stroll through the tournament area, we noticed that Bodog Poker pro Jean Robert Bellande has found himself in a seat with a view, right next to poker hottie Maria Ho. Now, we're not saying that we're a little jealous, but we're a little jealous. She's definitely in our top selections for people to sit next to at a poker table.

Anyway, also out in this field today is Bodog Poker pro Justin Bonomo, who has really no one interesting sitting at his table. Or at least no one as attractive as Maria. We guess you might be able to count Maya Antonius, who is seated a couple of tables away, but its just not the same as being sat right next to a hottie.

Other notables spotted include Gavin Smith, Erick Lindgren, Chad Batista, Barry Greenstein, JC Tran, Mark Seif, Andy Black and…. well, it seems this is a pretty popluar event, so we're not going to list all of them at the outset.

Elsewhere, the old guys are back to business with 28 players left on the $1,000 Seniors event. The $2,500 Seven Card Razz event is also back underway for Day 3 with 12 players remaining. Jeff Lisandro is the chip leader and is absolutely killing it this year, making a run at his fourth final table and third bracelet so far this year.

The $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Holdem event is down to 85 players. Notables still in the running include Toto Leonidas, David Pham, Isaac Haxton, Alex Jacob, Nenad Medic and Bill Chen.

Stay tuned for more WSOP live updates, and if you want some poker tournament action yourself this summer without coming all the way to Vegas, then make sure to check out the Bodog Mini Poker Series.

It is the end of an era and the dawn of a new age. Earlier today PokerNews.com reporter and poker player-extraordinaire Tiffany Michelle became the "Last Woman Standing at the WSOP," meaning that Team Bodog poker player Maria Ho has passed on her torch.

In a touching interview/ceremony, Tiffany and Maria reversed roles and Maria interviewed Tiffany for PokerNews much like Tiffany had done for Maria almost exactly a year ago. The two good friends symbolically transferred the crown and Tiffany spoke of the emotions of the moment and how she was so happy to have proven herself in the poker world as much more than a pretty face. After the interview, we spoke to Maria who told us that if she had to give up her title, then she could not have picked a better person to take it from her.

Maria finished 38th last year to cash out for about $237k. With 35 players remaining in the Main Event, Tiffany has already run deeper than Maria but with the adjusted payouts for this year's event, she hasn't out-earned her as of yet. Remaining players will walk with at least $193k and Tiffany won't reach Maria's payout level until 27th place. Nothing like a little friendly competition to spur ambition.

Stay tuned for more WSOP live updates from the Bodog Beat.

Unfortunately, Maria busted out just after dinner, but we get the feeling that we'll be seeing plenty more of her, her hoes and their well-placed patches out on the poker tournament circuit.

While on a quick cruise through the Amazon Room during Day 1D of the 2008 WSOP Main Event, we were lucky enough to witness Team Bodog poker players Heather Wells and Maria Ho push their tables around a bit.

Our first stop was Wells table where we picked up after the gentleman two seats to her left had reraised her almost all-in. Wells pushed and her opponent called and flipped over pocket Queens to her A-K of diamonds, the classic "two over-cards vs. pocket pair" race situation. When the flop produced an ace, all Wells had to do was dodge a Queen on the flop and turn, which she did and double up for a very healthy stack as we approach the dinner break.

Next up was Ho, just a few tables away. We arrived in time to see her move all-in over the top of editor of CardPlayer magazine Jeff Shulman's raise, sending him into the tank for a fair amount of time. He stared her down for a while while ESPN filmed the whole thing, including the "look for Maria's hoes" on the back of her shirt, and eventually folded. We didn't get to see Maria's cards, but we'll just assume that she had him dominated. She moves up to about 26,000 in chips.

Stay tuned for more Team Bodog and WSOP live updates courtesy of the Bodog Beat.

Team Bodog poker player Maria Ho is out in the field today for Day 1D of the 2008 WSOP Main Event and has brought an entourage with her to cheer her on from the rail. Affectionately dubbed "Maria's Hoes," which includes her sister, will be hoping to see (as will we) Maria make a deep run in this year's Main Event and possibly outdo her deep run last year when she was the last woman standing.

There are several other Team Bodog poker players out in the field today and we'll get to them in a sec. For right now, this one is for the Hoes:

As part of ESPN's all-around coverage of the 2008 WSOP, they are broadcasting a lot of the final tables here online on ESPN 360. As part of their coverage, they are cherry-picking some poker pros to provide color commentary for those final tables.

Last night, they grabbed Team Bodog's own Maria Ho to provide insight on the final table of Event No. 7 – $2,000 No Limit Holdem. The final table featured several high profile poker pros including the dominating force of JC Tran, Alex Bolotin, Theo Tran and Shannon Shorr. We managed to grab some pics of Maria on the set of the show, analyzing the play of those pros and representing Team Bodog very well.

The eventual winner, after a massive implosion by monster chip leader Tran, was Matt Keikoan, who walked away with $550,601 in prize money and a WSOP bracelet.

We know for a fact that there will be other Team Bodog members doing the color commentary for ESPN 360, so make sure to head over there and check out the coverage as the 2008 WSOP continues.

WSOP online satellites are still available in the Bodog Poker room where you can start on your way to qualifying for a $12,000 WSOP VIP Prize Package for as little as $1.50.
