The 44-year-old star of the 2004 hit movie Crash was pulled over in the town of Newbury and is scheduled to appear in Vermont's Orange County Court on January 21. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of three months in jail and a $300 fine.

Dillon began his acting career in 1979 when he was discovered in the halls of his New Rochelle, New York, junior high school while playing hooky. The casting director asked Dillon to audition for a role, and Dillon made his film debut in the violent teen drama Over the Edge. "I'm sure she still thinks about him–a lot," Diaz's friend tells OK!.  "Cameron looks bored with Paul. He must not hold her interest.  I seriously doubt they'll last much longer."

Dillon and Diaz met in 1995 and teamed up in 1998 for the hit comedy, There's Something About Mary.

They abruptly broke up in 1998. In 2006, Dillon told Parade magzine that he "fell in love" with Diaz after he met her in 1995. “It’s a very powerful thing when you feel that way about somebody."
