So, with these dates firmly in mind, and the Main Event running from September 27 – October 2, Bodog is looking for two poker players to represent in the Black and Red and make a deep run at a 2008 World Series of Poker Europe bracelet. Last year saw Bodog online WSOPE qualifier Matt McCullough of Cherry Hill, NJ, make a deep push all the way to the final table where he finished as the last American standing in third place and cashed for over $760,000.

As of now, Bodog is running daily WSOPE online qualifiers starting for as little as $1. Qualifiers lead to spots in Bodog's Two Seats Guaranteed WSOPE Semifinal being held on Sunday, September 7. Winners of those two WSOPE seats receive a WSOPE VIP prize packages, which includes the buy-in (worth over $20,000 USD), roundtrip airfare, high-end car service to and from the airport, luxury hotel accommodations, £500 spending money and exclusive Team Bodog player gear and apparel.

Get on the road to the WSOP Europe and check out Bodog's WSOPE online qualifiers today.

You may remember Team Bodog poker players Matt McCullough and Matt Larsh from our spectacular coverage of the 2007 WSOP Europe. Well, during their time in Europe, while they were experiencing the ridiculous Bodog VIP treatment in London, the two Matts became good friends and as we all know, friends make prop bets every once in a while.

The prop bet that these two made before the beginning of the WSOP Europe Main Event involved the loser wearing a toga. Since Larsh ended up watching McCullough make his sick run to a third-place finish as the last American standing at the 2007 WSOP Europe, we'll let you draw assumptions as to who won and lost. Well, that and the fact that Larsh is wearing a toga in the above picture.

To make matters even more interesting, the Matts are now sitting at the same table here during Day 1C of the 2008 WSOP Main Event and have been for the last five hours. Just as the players were headed out to break, Larsh told us that it does suck a little bit that they have to play at the same table but that he already took a decent sized pot off McCullough, so it's business as usual when it comes to poker.

Stay tuned for more live updates from the 2008 WSOP Main Event and the progress of the two Matts.

Matt "mattboom" McCullough won Bodog Poker's Sunday $100k Guranteed online poker tournament. (Bodog Beat Image)

Another tough field of online poker players came out to the Bodog Poker room to play in the $100,000 Guaranteed online poker tournament and Bodog regular Matt "mattboom" McCullough emerged victorious to take home the $23,600 first-place prize.

If McCullough's name sounds familiar, it definitely should. He was the last remaining American poker player standing at the 2007 WSOP Europe Main Event last September as a member of Team Bodog and went on to finish third behind John Tabatabai and WSOPE champion Annette "Annette_15″ Obrestad.

Looks like McCullough is polishing his game a little in Bodog's online poker room in preparation for the quickly-approaching 2008 WSOP in Vegas that kicks off just three weeks from now (holy crap, that's soon). Based on this result, we'd like to say that he's in good form and should do well in Vegas. There was also something about a toga-wearing prop bet between him and fellow WSOPE Team Bodogger Matt "thatsNice" Larsh, but we're not sure how that will pan out.

Anyway, here are the full final table placings and payouts from last night:

1. Matt "mattboom" McCullough – $23,600
2. BadReception – $13,600
3. VOODOOCHILE – $9,100
4. rusostreet – $7,000
5. any2willdo4me – $5,700
6. SlowrollinWorm – $4,500
7. wildcrazyjohnny – $3,300
8. bg20mu – $2,200
9. MNEMIC_UK – $1,300

If you want a chance to see McCullough and Larsh possibly in togas and experience the 2008 WSOP as a member of Team Bodog, then head over to the Bodog Poker room and check out the 2008 WSOP online poker qualifiers.
