<p>With news that star defensive end Osi Umenyiora might be out for the season with a knee injury, the New York Giants might just turn back the clock and reunite with an old friend.</p>
<p>According to the New York Daily News, the Giants have reached out to former DE Michael Strahan with the possibility of him coming out of retirement to play football once again.Strahan, 36, who retired in the offseason after helping lead the Giants to a Super Bowl championship, would come back with the Giants if offered an $8 million contract for this season, according to a source close to the seven-time Pro Bowler.</p>
<p>Strahan retired in June, ending a 15-year career highlighted by the Giants' stunning Super Bowl victory over the unbeaten New England Patriots.</p>

<p>After winning his first Super Bowl in February, <strong>Michael Strahan</strong> has decided to call it quits.</p>
<p>The gap-toothed defensive end finishes his career with 854 total tackles, 141.5 sacks, and the singles-season sack record (22.5).</p>
<p>Strahan considered retiring from the NFL last season as he has had many opportunities for work on television. But he decided to come back and went on to grab the last thing that eluded him in his NFL career.</p>
<p>He'll be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in five years and will likely get in on the first ballot.</p>
