On Saturday night Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffen will square off at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in one of the featured matches.

MMA betting lines have Griffen listed as the -140 favorite, while Ortiz is priced at +110 for the upset.

What Ortiz and Griffin lack in knockout power, they make up for in name value and star power. Who doesn’t want to see Jenna Jameson in the crowd cheering on her man.

Griffin is coming off of an embarrassing loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 101 in which he was last seen running back to the locker room after being knocked senseless. Ortiz hasn’t fought since May 2008 when Lyoto Machida dominated him.

It will be interesting to see if Griffin’s lack of power and inability to finish the fight will be his undoing.

UFC 104 will be remembered for the main event and the debate over who won it.

Mauricio Rua proved Lyoto Machida is human. And perhaps some will feel Machida is also a little lucky after his narrow escape at UFC 104.

Machida, a +600 favorite, survived a five-round assault from his Brazilian countryman Saturday night, retaining his light-heavyweight mixed martial arts title.

All three judges scored it 48-47, or three rounds to two for Machida. Their decision drew boos from many in the crowd.

There were also two heavyweight bouts of note. Unbeaten contender Cain Velasquez made a statement by dominating Ben Rothwell, and Pat Barry chopped down fellow kickboxer Antoni Hardonk in what was judged the fight of the night.

Barry picked up an extra $120,000 in bonuses for fight and knockout of the night while Hardonk collected an additional $60,000 for his part.

That light heavyweight bout will be the only fight on the card for UFC 104 where a belt is on the line and Machida comes in as a large -450 favorite on the betting lines.

There is also a great heavyweight fight on the card with Cain Velasquez taking on IFL veteran Ben Rothwell. Cain is undefeated and fresh off a victory over Cheick Kongo but he’ll be tested by the heavy-handed Rothwell with Velasquez favored at -350.

Gleison Tibau and Josh Neer are set to battle it out on Saturday and this fight looks like one of the most explosive on the card. Neer has great standup and nice submission defense while Tibau has just as much experience with a better ground game. Tibau is listed as the -130 favorite to win this one.

Belfort knocked out Franklin (-145) at 3:02 of the first round to win the battle of middleweights at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Up-and-coming heavyweight Junior dos Santos (-135) defeated Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic by verbal submission in the third round of their bout, while Tyson Griffin (-300) finished off Hermes Franca with strikes 3:26 into the second round of their 159-pound catchweight tussle.

In the welterweight division, Paul Daley stunned Martin Kampmann (-500) by first round TKO in a battle that was supposed to be easy for the favorite.

The bout came after Josh Koscheck (-500) stopped Frank Trigg with strikes only 85 seconds into their welterweight clash.

UFC betting fans should not expect this bout to be a back-alley slug contest, as both fighters like to stay off of their feet.

Griffen is listed as the -300 favorite, according to UFC betting lines.

Franca is a veteran fighter who possesses great knockout power. The 5′6" 155-pound veteran has lost two of his last three fights and has a career record of 20-7-0.

This will be a good chance to see how far Griffin has come in his young career as he battles against the more experienced fighter in Franca.

Griffin is progressing well in his young career, while Franca seems to be on a downslide. Look for this fight to go the distance.

Koscheck is trying to rebound from his last fight loss to Paulo Thiago, and Trigg is trying to justify the UFC's decision to bring him back.

This match will be crucial for both fighters as they look to gain a shot at the welterweight title in the near future.

UFC betting lines has Koscheck listed as a heavy -500 favorite to win this fight.

Trigg brings his great wrestling and judo background to the match. He is a very conditioned fighter who can go the distance if needed.

Both fighters are trying to overcome what some fans feel is a letdown. Anytime a number one contender bout falls apart right before an event due to an injury there are bound to be feelings of disappointment. Unless something remarkable happens the third fight of the televised cards has lost much of its luster.

Daley has a record of 21 wins, eight losses, and two draws and is renowned for his powerful striking skills. He is the latest British fighter to be signed by the UFC, a roster which now includes 10 Britons.

On the ground this is all Kampmann, and don't be surprised if "The Hitman" comes out looking for the takedown.

If Daley scores the upset, the already-muddied welterweight waters become even murkier.

Neither fighter has any particular skill on the ground, and neither is comfortable being there, so this one should stay on the feet. Cro Cop claims to be finally healthy and comfortable, and if that were really the case then he would be in a good spot here. After a few letdown fights, it is hard to believe this is actually true.

If you plan on betting on the UFC, youth wins out over experience here. Besides, the UFC would probably be much happier if dos Santos wins and continues to develop as a viable contender.

Krzysztof Soszynski is a former IFL fighter who trains with Team Quest. After an early career spent fighting primarily in Canada, he competed on the eighth season of "The Ultimate Fighter." Although knocked out of the competition in the semifinals, "The Polish Experiment" defeated fellow cast member Shane Primm via submission at the show's live finale.

Soszynski is taking a step up in class, but he hasn't lost yet in the UFC, and Vera looks better the weaker his opponent is. This might be the fight to take a gamble with and bet on the +150 underdog.
