Game 5 ALCS betting odds have the Angels listed as -125 home favorites despite being on the brink of being eliminated.

After a 10-1 rout in Game 4, it’s tough to imagine New York’s sluggers slowing down. Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, and Jorge Posada are in the midst of outstanding postseasons, and the Yankees have 14 homers among their 67 hits in seven playoff games.

Six of 28 teams in the Angels’ position have rallied from a 3-1 deficit in a league championship series.

Burnett is still looking for his first playoff victory despite pitching fairly well in his last two starts.

The Angels will need much more from their normally productive line, who are currently batting .201 against New York.

Game 5 NLCS odds have the Phillies listed as -145 favorites.

Although Los Angeles needs to win three straight games to make the World Series, manager Joe Torre is doing  his best to sell that his team is not in an awful position. Winning tonight means they go back home and have home field advantage once again.

To do so, they need to get past Cole Hamels, who defeated the Dodgers in last season’s NLCS clincher.

Hamels is 5-0 with a 2.19 ERA in seven career starts against Los Angeles, including three in the playoffs.

Vicente Padilla hasn’t lost since signing with the Dodgers on Aug. 19 after being released by Texas.

Game 4 ALCS odds have not been released but it will be interesting to see who is favored now that the Angels have won a game.

While the Angels snapped their six-game ALCS losing streak, New York suffered its first defeat of this postseason after sweeping Minnesota in three games in a division series.

Sabathia is 6-7 with a 4.42 ERA in 15 career starts against the Angels.

Los Angeles will look to even the series with lefthander Scott Kazmir on the mound. Kazmir makes his first start since Oct. 11, Game 3 of the Angels’ division series against Boston. He is 6-5 with a 2.66 ERA in 14 career starts against the Yankees.
