The betting market for this Sunday's Conference Round matchups figures to be hot and heavy. The Pittsburgh Steelers led the N.F.L. in total defense, pass defense and scoring defense, and was second against the run, allowing only 80.2 yards a game. Arizona Cardinals QB Kurt Warner and Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme are both looking to lead their team to the NFC Championship game, but with the intensity expected to hit an all-time high this evening's matchup at the Bank of America stadium isn't going to be an easy one to predict.

Last weekend Warner threw two touchdown passes, including a 71-yarder to Anquan Boldin, as the Cardinals defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 in their Wild Card round meeting. The Cardinals covered the 2-point spread, and the 54 points made it OVER the posted total of 52. This week, however, Warner will have to face a Panthers' defense that is held tight with strong veterans.

Delhomme, while posting some serious stats during the regular season, is coming off a bye week (and that didn't exactly bode well for his team the last time they had a week off). Still, the Panthers are favored to win this one.

Opening the afternoon with a 42-yard touchdown pass to Larry Fitzgerald, he then connected with Anquan Boldin (photo above) on a sweet 71-yard scoring play. On the day, Warner was 19-of-32, 13-for-17 in the second half, for a total of 271 yards.

"I hope this gives us a lot of confidence," Warner told reporters after the game. "I knew we thought we could win this game. Hopefully we can parlay this into some more confidence and know we can win wherever we have to go."
