Simpson filed an appeal with the Nevada Supreme Court today over that hotel room debacle where he held up two sports memorabilia dealers and was charged with kidnapping and armed robbery. Simpson bases his appeal on the fact that he believes his conviction was tainted by judicial misconduct, a lack of racial diversity on the jury and errors in sentencing and jury instructions.

Simpson is currently serving a sentence of 9 -33 years. After he was sentenced, Fred Goldman, the father of murder victim Ron Goldman said, "There's never closure, Ron is always gone, but what we have is satisfaction that this monster is behind bars where he belongs."

Hulk Hogan (a.k.a Terry Bollea) recently told Page Six, "I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody's throat. You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can't go to anymore, you're driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife. I totally understand OJ. I get it."

Now if the Hulk has any plans of actually carrying out an O.J.-like plans, he's kind of wrecked the element of surprise. Before O.J. allegedly did it, he didn't announce it in Page Six first. The Hulk has a lot to learn. Sigh.

Simpson was facing a possible sentence of life in prison and a minimum of six years after his conviction of kidnapping and armed robbery in Las Vegas.

"He's a very resilient guy," Simpson's attorney Yale Galanter said yesterday. "He's handling this fairly well. He's hopeful. He believes in the criminal justice system. He believes he'll be exonerated."

"O.J. comes into court with a lot of baggage," Galanter added. "Even though he was acquitted in the mid-'90s, the public perception is that he did it."

However, Judge Jackie Glass setenced Simpson to at least 15 years in prison. He will not be eligible for parole until after at least five years.

Kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary. You name it, Simpson's guilty of it. Just don't name murder, the decision comes 13 years to the day after the man once known as Juice was acquitted of killing Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.

Last year Simpson and a band of cronies discovered that O.J. memorabilia was being sold out of a Las Vegas hotel. Logically, Simpson opted to take matters into his own hands and jacked his shit back, stuff he claims was rightfully his.

Chaos ensued, now he's in jail.

TMZ spoke to sources close to the show who say Simpson approached the show to voice his want for a spot on the program — and, get this, it's "under thoughtful consideration."
