Oklahoma and Nebraska is one of the great rivalries in college football, but it hasn't been much of one lately, with the Sooners having won four in a row – including a 62-28 rout last year, the most points OU has ever scored against the Huskers. Yet Oklahoma is just a 5-point favorite on Bodog's college football odds this year.

Under coach Bob Stoops, the Sooners have owned Big 12 North teams, going 35-4. This year's Sooners are just a handful of points from being unbeaten: Their three setbacks were by a total of five points and all came against ranked opponents.

Expect this one to be low scoring, as both defenses rank among the nation's Top 20 in most major defensive categories. OU's unit hasn't allowed a single first-quarter point in the past 10 games. Nebraska's struggling offense has just three touchdowns total in the past three games.

There is one key injury to know about when check the college football odds on this one: Huskers star running back Roy Helu has had a bum shoulder for weeks and has managed just 12 carries in the past two games. Last year against OU, he had 157 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, true freshman QB Cody Green will make his second career start for Nebraska; Green took over for Zac Lee last week against Baylor and was 12-for-21 passing for 128 yards. He is a threat to run and had 43 yards rushing against the Bears. But obviously Baylor's defense isn't in the class of Oklahoma's.

Nebraska hasn't covered the spread since beating Missouri on Oct. 8, while Oklahoma has only covered once in its past five games. The Huskers are on a two-game losing streak at home but haven't lost three straight home games since 1968.

The Tar Heels covered the 7-point spread, while the final score played under the day's posted total of 164. North Carolina has now won three in a row against the spread.

The Tar Heels advanced to the Final Four for the second straight year and will play the Villanova Wildcats in the national semifinals.

This will be the Tar Heels’ ninth Final Four in 19 seasons and it will be played at Detroit’s Ford Field, where they routed Michigan State 98-63 in December.

Upset or no, OU still coughed up the cash to Mizzou despite 16 points and 21 rebounds from Blake Griffin. The Tigers compensated with 12 steals to five for the Sooners; OSU is also very good at hanging onto the ball and can definitely take advantage of Oklahoma’s questionable perimeter defense – the ‘Pokes are 39.5 percent from behind the arc. However, the Sooners (-2.5) won their first meeting 89-81 in Stillwater.

Oklahoma lost a pair of games (including one to Kansas) without Blake Griffin, but the Sooners were all over Texas Tech in Griffin’s return, winning 78-63 as 8.5-point road faves. These are two very strong offensive teams with a combined over of 27-17. The over is also 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two clubs, with the Tigers at 5-1 ATS. Oklahoma’s defense is suspect enough to keep Mizzou’s betting value high.

The Oklahoma Sooners (25-3 SU, 12-10-1 ATS) lost arguably the best player in college and the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft when Griffin got clocked in the nose last week against Texas. Then OU lost to the Longhorns (-1.5 in Austin) and the Kansas Jayhawks (+2 in Norman) to fall out of first place in the Big 12. Griffin’s status for Saturday remains uncertain as he continues to recover from a concussion.

The Longhorns have faded over the past three weeks, suffering through a three-game losing streak.
It won’t be easy, of course, even in Austin. Blake Griffin is the likely national player of the year, and he put up 20 points and 10 rebounds in the first meeting between the two, a 78-63 Sooners win on Jan. 12.

That’s a sizeable haul for a team that has enough offensive firepower to flatten any opponent – which is what’s going to happen at Dolphin Stadium. Heisman winner Sam Bradford (48 TDs, six INTs) leads the No. 1 offense in the FBS against a Gators defense that was rarely tested at the elite level during the SEC regular season.

The win means a three-way tie for the Big 12 South division lead as Texas Tech squeezed by Baylor on Saturday, 35-28, and Texas destroyed A&M.

With the win the Sooners must now wait on the results of the BCS voter decision as to who will play in the title game against Missouri.

With the win the Longhorns keep their undefeated record in tact while Oklahoma settle for 5-1.

The match, which ended 45-35, was the first since 2004 to take place while each school ranked in the nation's top five and a possible coming out party for Texas, at least as legitimate contenders.

The game was a back and forth affair with Oklahoma striking first. After the initial quarter, the visitors had taken a 7-3 lead, however, it wasn't long into the second when Texas started to show signs of battling back.

The second half for the most part belonged to the Longhorns, as they outscored their opponents 25-14.

Texas freshman Cody Johnson ran three touchdowns in his first three attempts while quarterback Colt McCoy threw for a touchdown of his own.

Leading the way for the visiting Sooners was 20-year-old sophomore Sam Bradford who threw five touchdowns and a total of 379 yards in the loss.

Elsewhere on the early college football schedule, Kansas University took down Colorado 30-14.
