The Babyshambles frontman has reportedly approached author and ex-drug addict Sean Boru to help him write an "intensely personal biography."

"The whole premise of the book is Pete talking about Kate Moss and the sex and drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle they shared," said Boru. "I wrote to Pete when hew was in jail about my experiences when I was drug addict and we built a relationship."

Wow, maybe this guy should write to Amy Winehouse too?

"He knows I understand where he is coming from," Boru continued. "This is the first book that properly details his private life with Moss – which is what everyone wants to read about."

Pete Doherty has decided to catch up on his spiritual reading while he's spending 14 weeks in jail. The Babyshambles frontman is reportedly reading an English translation of the Koran, reports celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

"I'm suprised how much it has calmed him down as he was very on edge inside," a source told Perez. "He definitely seems more chilled. He's lapping it up and really interested in it. I think it's helping him in there."

Another source told entertainment blog The Bosh, "He's got a lot of Muslim friends and they've been on at him for ages to study it. Now he's on his own he's got time on his hands to study it."

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty will be heading into the slammer for 14 weeks, according to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. The coke head was arrested for breaking his probation order.

"Doherty was jailed for his breach of time keeping, non compliance of his order and using different drugs," a court spokesperson told U.K.'s Metro newspaper.

Doherty's jail sentence for drug and motoring offences were suspended by Judge Davinder Lachar back in October 2007. However, yesterday, he was taken from West London Magistrates' Court following a 30 minute hearing.

Babyshambles has a show scheduled at Royal Albert Hall on April 26 and will now not be able to perform. However, a spokesperson for EMI reassures, "The show is due to be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date once it has been announced.

"Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest appologies to all his fans and to all those concerned."

In a strange turn of events, Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty will be appearing on a U.K. TV show to help kids who are battling heroin addiction. What the hell? Was Amy Whinehouse not available?

The 28-year-old musician has been battling addiction to heroin, among other drugs, himself, but he hopes that his own experiences might offer some inspiration. "Pete really hopes to be able to use his own experiences to help these youths," a source told U.K. magazine Female First. "Hopefully they will be inspired by his visit."

Doherty will be visiting Manchester's Langley Estate and Sheffield's Manor Park in northern England to offer his advice.
