Apparently, Simpson and Trachtenberg got along well, with Simpson even whipping out the baby pics. However, the more Simpson drank, the more beligerant she became.

Perez reports, "The crescendo of the night occurred when an increasingly loud and obnoxious Simpson began to give Wentz a lap dance. 'She was staring directly at Michelle and starting hurling insults at her,' a source tells us. 'She was grinding up on Pete like a stripper. It was actually pretty disgusting!'Clearly out of control, Asslee screamed at Michelle, 'I hope you know, the whole time you were dating Pete, I was fucking him!'"

Apparently, Trachtenberg responded civilly, saying "I've never said bad things about you. I'm happy for you guys."

Simpson got rowdier and tried to get into Trachtenberg's face and was eventually hauled away. Wentz was reportedly highly embarrassed.

Fittingly, Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson will be playing a couple of wannabes in an upcoming CSI NY episode. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that new parents will guest star as "Bonnie and Clyde wannabes."

Can Pete and Ashlee turn this vanilla cop show into something watchable? Do they know how to act? Although will playing "wannabes" take much skill? Probably not. In any event, there are three words for this turn of events: Poor Gary Sinese.

Ashlee, who now goes by Ashlee Wentz and professionally goes by "Ashlee Simpson-Wentz," told People magazine, "I would love to have a big family one day."

Sucky lip syncer Ashlee Simpson is getting hitched! Jessica Simpson's younger sister has announced her engagement to wannabe rocker Pete Wentz, reports People magazine.

"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know," Simpson said in a statement posted on friendsorenemies.com. "Becuase you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes – it means the world to us.

"We consider this to be a very private matter," the singer continued. "And we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us."

Simpson, 23, has apparently been linked to the Fall Out Boy bassist since 2006. "I think the first day that we met that we were attracted to each other," Simpson told People. "He's a cutie, and he has an awesome personality and kind of brings out the best of me and I knew that even before we were dating. There was just like an awesome connection we had."

Simpson's father, who saw his eldest daughter, Jessica, married off and then divorced to ex-boy bander Nick Lachey, told People that he is very happy about the news. "Totally happy," he said. "So excited to have Pete as part of [our] family… We are blessed."
