Rapper T.I. must voluntarily turn himself in to prison within the next 6 to 8 weeks to begin serving a one year and one day prison sentence. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was caught in an Atlanta parking lot conducting an illegal transaction for machine guns and silencers. Because he's a convicted felon, this was a bad idea.

Of the incident, he says, "It was a tremendous amount of pain and a tremendous amount of blame put on myself. Everyone who leaves Atlanta with me is my responsibility and if they don't make it back home to their families then I'm responsible, and he didn't make it back."

The sentence is part of a plea deal that includes 1,500 hours of community service and a $100,000 fine, but also makes him eligible for early release.

T.I. recently told Tyra Banks of his impending prision sentence, "I'm not afraid of anything but God. I mean God will never take me to what he can't take me through."

Joaquin Phoenix will probably wake up one day with a monster hangover and realize that he threw away his acting career and became a rapper. Ouch – that one's gonna hurt. It's almost as embarrassing as stripping at the company Christmas party.

At an event a few months ago, Phoenix slurred his plans to retire to an unsuspecting reporter. Phoenix got pissed because he apparently expected more of a reaction, but the stunned reporter apparently couldn't tell whether or not the actor was serious. At the premiere of Che, Phoenix decided to let everyone know via the words "bye" and "good" which were written across his knuckles. Many of us would have burst into tears at the thought of Joaquin Phoenix leaving the film industry – if he'd had put the words in the correct order.

Now, Phoenix is embarking on a rap career, and his struggle to achieve rap superstardom will be recorded for a documentary directed by Casey Affleck. We're assuming this documentary will be a comedy?

A raging fire demolished rapper 50 Cent's Long Island, NY home. The house had been the source of a bitter battle between 50 Cent and the mother of his son, Shaniqua Tompkins – and the fire department is calling the blaze, "highly suspicious."

According to TMZ, 50 Cent (whose real name is Curtis Jackson) had repeatedly tried to evict Tompkins from his crib. A court ruled in his favor, but Tompkins was allowed to stay until the end of their 10-year-old son's school year.

However, the fighting between the two had become so volatile, one of 50 Cent's entourage trashed Tompkin's lawyer's office — and yesterday, their deposition had to be held at State Supreme Court for security reasons. The couple were also caught on camera fighting in the streets after the trashing of her lawyer's office. TMZ has the video.

There were six people in the home when the fire broke out, including Tompkins and their 10-year-old son Marquise. All six were taken to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. So far, no suspects have been named in the blaze.
