I'm not sure who is more at fault here – the people in line, who waited over seven hours for Palin to scribble across their $30 books – or Palin, who had promised signatures to 1,000 people (who were given wristbands) then high-tailed it out of there with 300 left to go without explanation.

The scary interesting news is that Going Rogue: An American Life is now one of the top-ranked nonfiction books on the list of first-day sales, with the book selling 300,000 copies on its first day.

However, Palin maintained that Johnston is loved by her family and would be welcome at their Thanksgiving table.

Johnston told Playgirl he doesn't believe a word of what Palin says.

"You could tell by her laugh she was full of it," he said.

Johnston, who said he was "disgusted" by the interview, added that it would be "awkward" if he did take Palin up on her invitation, saying it's "a nice gesture but she didn't mean it."

"I think she's going out and talking, and she's just digging a bigger hole for herself," said Johnston. "It's almost funny, that she's like, 46 years old, and she's battling a 19 year old, and I'm winning. And I'm telling the truth. She's lying and losing."

In the interview, Johnston talked about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, revealing that Palin often complained about her workload as governor and wanted to hide her daughter's pregnancy by adopting the baby herself.

Johnston claimed that Sarah often fought with her husband, Todd, who slept in a separate room during the Republican National Convention.

There was a lot of talk of divorce in that house," Johnston said, "times when Sarah and Todd would mention it and sound pretty serious.”

"Even before she was nominated,” Johnston went on to say, “there wasn't much parenting in that house. Sarah doesn't cook, Todd doesn't cook—the kids would do it all themselves: cook, clean, do the laundry, and get ready for school. Most of the time Bristol would help her youngest sister with her homework, and I'd barbecue chicken or steak on the grill.”

“I know that her parents didn’t want us together,” Levi says. “So they probably put a little pressure on her. But at the same time, they told us they wanted us to get married when they found out Bristol was pregnant.”

Levi says the split was very difficult because he loved Bristol.

“I think we were in love, I wasn’t one to stick with a girl for three years if I wasn’t,” he says. “I’m pretty sure you can call it love, but it’s just amazing how fast it can change like that.”

Levi is rumored to be sniffing for stardom and has given himself an alter ego named Ricky Hollywood. Although Levi isn’t exactly sure about what his future holds he tells GQ the one thing he is certain about, “I’ll always have my son.”

"One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game," Letterman said, "during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."

When Palin caught wind of the joke she immediately fired back at Letterman, going on the Today show the following day to lambast the comedian for saying such crude things about her 14-year-old daughter.

The thing is, Letterman's joke was intended for Palin's 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, who was impregnated by her then-boyfriend Levi Johnston. Dave had no idea that it was the younger of the two that accompanied her political mom to the baseball game.

Nonetheless, Letterman has since apologized for his remark, saying: "I would never make jokes about someone having sex with a 14-year-old girl."

Too little, too late?

Several politicians think Dave has crossed the line this time and are asking CBS to fire his ass.

"Firing Mr. Letterman would send a clear message that CBS will not tolerate any of its employees even an established media figure like Mr. Letterman making demeaning and degrading comments about women," wrote Brian Kolb, a Republican from the Western New York state district of Canandaigua, in a letter to CBS chief Les Moonves.

And to make matters worse, a website called FireDavidLetterman.com has been set up to attract other like-minded folks who are just besides themselves over this whole debacle. The rally is set for 4:30 pm EDT at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway in Manhattan.

On the show, Johnston dropped the bomb that the Republican Alaskan mayor Sarah Palin "probably knew" he was having sex with Bristol because they shared a room. He also told Tyra that he and Bristol practiced safe sex "most of the time."

Levi was joined by his mother and his sister, Mercede, to talk about his relationship with the daughter of the Vice Presidential Nominee, about the gag order during the campaign and why they split.

Bristol and Levi, who have a 3-month-year-old son named Tripp, broke up in February. At the time, Johnston said he'd like to get back together with Bristol.

Just last month, Bristol told Fox News, "Eventually we'd like to get married," the young mother said. "We're focusing on getting through school though, getting a career going."

However, reports are now circulating that things have taken an abrupt turn in the couple's relationship and that Governor Palin is supporting her daughter's stance.

In an interview with Star magazine, Mercede says, "Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible. She tells him he can't take the baby to our house because she doesn't want him around 'white trash'! Bristol won't even allow him to watch the baby for a few hours — unless he's babysitting!"

Unwed teen mother Bristol told the surprised Fox reporter that the abstinence her mom preaches is "not realistic at all," but she did add that it isn't smart to get knocked up.

"Everyone should wait 10 years," Palin said. "I hope people learn from my story. It's so much easier if you're married, have a house and career. It's not a situation you want to strive for."

She denied that her mother's anti-abortion views were the reason she went ahead with the pregnancy.
"It was my choice to have the baby," she said. "It doesn't matter what my mom's views are on it. It was my decision.

Eventually we'd like to get married," the young mother said. "We're focusing on getting through school though, getting a career going."

Van Susteren asked Palin, "If you and I were talking a year ago and I said, what do you think is going to happen in your life, what do you think you would have told me?"

Bristol Palin answered, "I honestly have no idea because I never would have thought I would have become a mom. And I never would have thought my mom was going to be chosen for vice president."

Now actress Ashley Judd is coming to the defense of the wolves, narrating a video on behalf of Defenders of Wildlife, lambasting the former Vice Presidential nominee for the wolf slaughter. Palin has responded calling the organization's video, "reprehensible and hypocritical" for trying "to deceive Americans into parting with their hard-earned money."

Palin goes on to say, "The ad campaign by this extreme fringe group, as Alaskans have witnessed over the last several years, distorts the facts about Alaska’s wildlife management programs. Alaskans depend on wildlife for food and cultural practices which can’t be sustained when predators are allowed to decimate moose and caribou populations."

Wolves have long been on the federal government's list of endangered species, except for in Alaska where they thrive.
