Teaming with Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka to take home the men's doubles crown, Federer finally put an end to his previously goldless run in his first two attempts at the Olympics.

Unfortunately for Federer, however, his singles stint at these games did not bring him similar success, falling to American James Blake in the quarterfinals.

Though Federer will see his number one ATP ranking go to Spanish 22-year-old Rafael Nadal, the victory in Beijing must come as some sort of relief as he looks to reclaim at least some of the momentum that he's carried over the past several years.
