The Asian Poker Tour event in Macau is now only two weeks away and the level of competition has been bumped up a notch with the addition of the father and son poker pro tandem of Doyle Brunson and Todd Brunson to the field. The two have eleven WSOP bracelets between them and almost $9 million in career earnings between them.

They will join several other poker pros, including including J.C. Tran, Nam Le, Quinn Do, APT Philippines champion David Saab, at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino on August 27 for the USD $5,300 buy-in tournament, which also offers a $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool.

There will also be a little added incentive for these pros to make the trip as tournament officials have also just announced that there will be a high stakes poker game during the APT Macau. Minimum buy-in is set at HKD $1,000,000 (approximately USD $128,000). The Brunsons along with several other players have confirmed their involvement. The senior Brunson will also be hosting a book signing while in Macau.

Team Bodog is already decked out in Red and Black and headed to exotic Macau to play with some of the biggest names in poker for a chance to win life-changing money, but if you're looking for the next challenge, qualify for the second annual World Series Europe for a chance to be part of the biggest poker series event on offer throughout Europe.
